London City Airport
Located in the heart of London, London City Airport is situated just 11km east of the City of London. Due to its proximity to Canary Wharf and the City of London, London City Airport is popular with business travellers and finance industry bigwigs.
In 2015, more than 4.3 million passengers were served by London City Airport. Overall, it is the 13th busiest airport in the UK. Flights are available from London City Airport to destinations throughout Europe including Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Amsterdam, and Antwerp. Flights to Dublin Airport are also available.

Pret A Manger and Caffe Nero both have coffee shops at London City Airport, but for something more local why not try Brick Lane Brews? Other interesting places to eat include “Panolpolis,” which offers premium breads from around the world, and the 1950s style “Pilots Bar & Kitchen”.

London City Airport has a limited number of shops, which includes all of the airport favourites like WHSmith, Boots, and Dixons Travel. There’s a Ladurée, ideal for picking up small presents and souvenirs and also an Aelia Duty Free.

Getting to & from the Airport
Driving from the North, join the M25 before leaving at Junction 30. Follow signposts to the airport along the A13. The West, South East, and South are connected to London City Airport via the M4, M3, and M2 respectively.
Several companies offer car hire at London City Airport including Avis, Hertz, Europcar and Budget. The car hire offices are in a separate building next to the main terminal building.
London City Airport is connected to the rest of the transport network via Docklands Light Railway (DLR). This connects the airport to the nearby Canary Wharf and Bank. The journey time from the airport is 18 minutes to Canary Wharf and 22 minutes to Bank. Train services are frequent: usually every 10 minutes between 5:32am and 12:37am. Services are slightly less frequent during weekends, although only moderately so.
National Express services stop at the nearby Canard Wharf and Bank. From here, you can take the Docklands Light Railway to London City Airport.
Black cabs are available from outside of the airport terminal. Taxis are metered, and fares are more expensive in the evening.
