The airport is in a solitary position, a few kilometres north of Bozeman. Belgrade is a small town directly next to the airport, and the Highway 90 and route 191 connects you to all other major attractions in the area. Once you reach these roads you’ll feel like you’re really on your American road trip, with epic expanses set in front of you.

Yellowstone National Park is spread between Montana, Wyoming and Idaho, with vast expanses of volcanic fields, lush forests and deep lakes. You will need a pass for the park, but there are car parks once you’re within the borders. Bozeman Airport is the main airport for Yellowstone, so there’s plenty of information provided on how to reach the Park when you fly in.
To reach the park you’ll need to take Highway 90 southbound when exiting Belgrade. Take the second exit on the roundabout to get onto this road. Continue for around 70 kilometres then take exit 33 for Yellowstone. This does include a toll road. Merge onto Highway 89 and continue for another 53 miles south. Bozeman is the perfect town for outdoor holidays, located next to some of the best ski resorts and national parks in Montana. It’s previously been voted one of the most liveable cities, and a great place to bring up your children too.
To reach Bozeman, take Highway 90 from the airport, then take exit 306 to drive into north Bozeman. There are a few different parking lots in the city, most of which are Pay & Display.
Big Sky has some incredible ski slopes as well as lakes and mountain treks. It’s around an hour from Bozeman Airport. This route will also take you through Four Corners, another popular outdoor resort.
When you exit the airport stay on Wings Way, passing straight by Belgrade. Take a left on Northern Pacific Avenue and take the first exit at the roundabout after that. Continue straight down this road, then take your next left, then take your next right onto Highway 85. Follow the 191 down to Big Sky.
