Where to hire a car at Corfu Airport
There are four car hire companies with desks at Corfu Airport: Europecar, Hertz, Avis and Sixt. All of the desks are inside the terminal, so you don’t need to go far to pick up your car.
Petrol stations near Corfu Airport
Depending on your car rental agreement, you may need to hand your car back with a full tank.
Luckily there is a BP petrol station just 15 minutes by car from the airport. From the Hertz depot, take a left turn and follow the road around to the left. The garage will be on the left hand side.
Driving around Corfu Airport
Corfu Airport is well connected to the region’s main roads of which there are largely two. The road running North-South along the East coast from Sidari to Lefkimmi is very good while the road from Corfu town across the island to Paleokastritsa isn’t quite as well surfaced. Roads are never very busy and with such spectacular views, driving in Corfu is a pleasure.

For anyone wanting to enjoy the lively Greek nightlife, Roda is the place to do it. Retaining the charm of a traditional fishing village there is a lovely resort here which boasts live music, bustling bars, cool clubs and cosy restaurants with sandy beaches and bags of character for lazy sunny days.
Roda is just 55 minutes north of Corfu Airport by car. Just follow the main highway from the airport signposted to Roda.
This traditional Greek village boasts stunning 17th century mansions, monasteries and marble churches and ancient frescoes of the 18th century Ionian School of Painting, all surrounded by lush green hills, olive groves and spectacular views.
Kinopiastes is just a 15 minutes drive south of Corfu Airport. Head south from the airport, turn left then continue straight on following signs for Kinopiastes.
The Corfu capital is also a UNESCO world heritage site thanks to its stunning architecture, ancient Greek ruins and breath-taking views. Exotic, magical and laid-back, Corfu Town is a wonderful mix of party town with its lively shops, bars and clubs; and enchanting hideaway, with white sandy beaches and lanes that wind their way past whitewashed houses into the olive groves.
Corfu Town is just 10 minutes by car from the airport. Head south out of the airport, turn left and continue following signs for Corfu Town. There are car parks in Corfu Town, with parking available for around €3* per day. If you find a space on the street you need to find a parking attendant to pay for your ticket. Some hotels in Corfu also offer free parking.
