With an archaeological treasure trove of sights including an emerald Buddha, Lampang gives you a taste of the real Thailand, away from the frenetic non-stop action of cities like Bangkok.
Lampang is just an hour and a half from Chiang Mai Airport. Take route 1141 from the airport at get on to route 11, following this to Lampang.

Chiang Mai is just 25 minutes by car from Chiang Mai Airport. Simply take the 1141 road from the airport and follow this to the centre of Chiang Mai.
On street parking is available in Chiang Mai at your own risk. This is a busy, bustling city and the safety of your car cannot be guaranteed. While there are some car parks available with reasonable rates, many tourist attractions, shopping areas and hotels in Chiang Mai offer free parking.
