Where to hire a car in Dinard Airport
You can find the car rental companies within the terminal when you leave. Avis, Hertz, Europcar and Enterprise all have branches in Dinard Airport, so you can find the best motor for your next trip. The car park for rental cars is to the left of the terminal.
Petrol stations close to Dinard Airport
Depending on your car rental agreement, you may need to hand your car back with a full tank.
There is an Avia fuelling station just 4km from Dinard airport. When leaving the airport, follow the D364 and turn right onto the D64. Take the third exit on the roundabout, and continue to drive straight up. Continue straight through the next roundabout, and continue onto Boulevard Jules Verger by taking the first exit at the next roundabout. The petrol station will be on your left.
Driving around Dinard Airport
Dinard is located far south of Dinard and St Malo, so when you depart from the airport there is very little in the way of main roads or traffic. You’re able to join the D266 almost immediately, which takes you south or north to Dinard, or the D768 either west or up to St Malo. Generally, it’s easy driving around this area as it’s not busy, nor is it built up.
Popular destinations to drive to from Dinard Airport
St Malo is a port city in the north of Brittany, often dotted with sailing ships on the harbour and happy locals and travellers on the beach. It’s a popular short-haul destination for having a few days by the beach, due to it’s ferry links with the south of the UK and Ireland.
It only takes 20 minutes to reach St Malo. Follow the D364 out of the airport and join the D64. At the roundabout, turn left onto the D266. At the roundabout, take the first exit to continue onto the D168 over the bridge, then take exit D201 for Saint Servan. Follow the road slightly left to join the D137 up to Saint Malo, or turn right on the D137 to get to the Aquarium. There are a few places to park along the beachfront in St Malo, and street parking is permitted in some places.
Dinard is the quieter sister of St Malo, littered with beautiful old Belle Époque town houses and villas for a sleepy weekend by the sea.
To reach Dinard, take the third exit on the roundabout when you leave the airport onto the D266, and at the roundabout take the first exit onto the D168. Take the exit for Dinard when you see it, and continue straight up the D266. Street parking is permitted in some areas of Dinard, and there are fewer car parks in the centre. There are car parking spaces near facilities like the Promenade.
Dinan is a small town south of Dinard and the airport, with a charming old town and a few really beautiful Renaissance buildings.
It’s very easy to reach Dinan, exit the airport and head south on the D64. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the D266, and continue through the next roundabout to merge onto the D766. At the next roundabout, take the third exit onto the D176. Continue along this road until you see the exit for Quévert, and turn left onto the D2. Follow this road into the town centre. There aren’t many parking facilities in Dinan and it’s a wise idea to check if your hotel has a parking spot for you.
