Driving around Limoges Airport
Limoges Airport is very well connected to the region’s main roads. Cutting through the region is the A9 that travels northeast to Vierzon, the N147 that links to roads heading north towards Poitiers and beyond; the E603 travels west towards Angouleme, Cognac and the Brittany coast. Finally the A20 heads southward all the way to Toulouse

Angouleme is just over an hour from Limoges Airport. From the D20 airport road, take the D941 to Ancienne. Merge onto the N141 and follow signs for Angouleme.

Friendly folk and stunning surrounding countryside make this a wonderful change from the traditional city break.
Brive is just over an hour from Limoges Airport. From the airport on the D200, turn left onto the N520 towards Poitiers. Get onto the A20 and towards L’Occitane and take exit 49 towards Brive-Est. From here get on to the D920 and follow signs for Brive-la-Gaillarde.
One of Limoges’s jewels is the stunning palatial train station, the Gare des Benedictins, with its copper dome, frescoes, Art-Deco windows and neoclassical sculptures. Also famous for its elegant porcelain, for Renoir and for producing some of the best beef in France; sitting on the winding river Vienne, bustling but tranquil Limoges is the essence of a French town.
The city of Limoges is just under 20 minutes by car from Limoges Airport. From the D20 head northwest and get on the D941 towards Limoges. Follow the signs for the centre.
