The nearest petrol station to Chennai Airport is an Indian Oil station located just 18 minutes drive from the airport. Head northwest from the airport and turn left, then right and on to the Grand Southern Trunk Road towards Chennai. The petrol station will be on the left hand side.

Chennai International Airport is situated 19 kilometres southwest of the city centre. The airport is easily accessible by car via the National Highway 45. The exit to the airport is clearly signposted.

Tamil Nadu is a 5 and a half hour drive from Chennai Airport. Get on the Grand Southern Trunk Road and follow this all the way to the Perambaur Bypass Road, following signs to Tamil Nadu.

Car parking in Chennai can be a frantic affair with on-street parking causing particular chaos. It is best to choose from one of the many covered parking lots that are available around the city. Rates are reasonable and there are no time restrictions. Some hotels in Chennai offer free parking and there is nearly always parking available at shopping malls and tourist attractions.
