It takes just 40 minutes to reach Northumberland from Newcastle Airport. Get on to the A696 from the airport and follow signs to Northumberland. Get onto the B6342 and take this all the way to Northumberland city centre.

Newcastle city centre is just 15 to 20 minutes away from Newcastle Airport. Simply head west out of the airport and straight across the roundabout. Follow the A696 to Newcastle upon Tyne ad take the B1318 exit. Follow signs to the city centre. On-street parking is available in Newcastle and is charged between 60p and £1.50* per hour depending on the area. These charges apply between 8am and 6.30pm, every day in the City Centre and 8am and 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday outside the City Centre. Some areas have maximum two hour limit. Park and Ride facilities offer a cheaper alternative with no time limit on parking. Some hotels in Newcastle have car parking but usually this can cost extra.
