Very thoughtful staff

We stayed at the Riverside Motel as a result of being evacuated during the Bald Range fire. The staff were very kind, allowing our well behaved dog to stay with us, despite a no dogs policy. They checked on us daily, brought us delivered food and directed friends and family to our room. Staying at the Riverside, during a very stressful time, was made much easier by the kindness from the owner and staff.

It’s what you would expect for a cheaper motel. Not horrible at all. The bathroom we found could have been cleaner like the shower curtain was quite yellow and dirty, but again, it’s what you would expect. The pool was a lot of fun and the linens were clean and fresh. The room smelled like cigarettes even though it was a non smoking hotel. We would not stay again based on that as we have asthmatics in our family.

The property was kept clean. The only issue I experienced was noise. The building is wood-frame, so you hear everything above you. The kids waking up at 8am and running around like a pack of wild elephants wasn't fun. Hearing people stomp (not on purpose, but so loud nonetheless). It was difficult to sleep in due to the loudness of peopel walking around.

The location is phenomenal, the room spacious and clean, the kitchen has all that’s necessary, and the people super friendly. We’ll be back.

Accommodation prices were very high in Penticton on our date (several major events occurring). Other property options were gouging on their pricing ...but Riverside was favorably and competitive and provided a clean, comfortable, well-located option for our stay. Thank you!
