Enchanting break in Rajasthan

A fairytale stay with guests of incomparable kindness and tasty cuisine. The tour of the owner is a must as well as the visit of the village with the former teacher who introduces us to the small town of Chanoud and the life of its inhabitants.
A nice break to consider between Jodhpur and Udaipur to take a break!

Review with love but long overdue ;)

Every single time we visit Chanoudf, we experience the warmest welcome you can imagine. Coming to Chanoudh feels like coming home to family. The Chanoudh family let their guests participate in true cultural festivities, rituals and habits in a pure way.

A Truly Special Place

I am slightly hesitant to write this review as part of me really wants to keep this amazing place as secret as possible. It is absolutely fabulous. The vibe is super cool. The accommodation is out of this world. There are some activities to do which I would highly recommend. We did an evening bird safari ending with a drink and a sunset - out of this world. What really makes Chanoud so special though is the family who own it. They really care about your stay. Evening meals (which are delicious) can be a shared experience amongst the guests or separately if you prefer. We all ate together and it was wonderful, everyone slightly pinching themselves about being so lucky to be staying at Chanoud. We stayed for three wonderful days and when it was time to leave I had a tear in my eye .........

Great hotel with wonderful owners

What a wonderful family run hotel. The house/fort is amazing and their passion bleeds through in every part of the business. We were there for Holi and they produced it with the villagers beautifully! The rooms are small apartments and if they share their personal digs they are stunning. My only downside was the food! Just missed it for me!

It is a 6 out of 5 from me. Stunning location, so welcoming, full of surprises, delicious food plus Holi too. Magical.

I would rate 6 out of 5 if I could.
This is one of the most special places I have been to and the experience was unforgettable.
We were welcomed on arrival by Jairaj, Mahiraj and Swarti, the two brothers and sister who run the hotel.
However it’s not like any other hotel as you are treated as family guests.
The rooms are stunning, extremely well equipped and plenty of space.
The whole location is full of surprises…it’s like taking a step back in time with the 300 year old buildings, decorations and furniture but then they have the most stunning swimming g pool which is a must after a hot day.
Pre dinner drinks are served around the pool which is where you also have dinner.
But the icing on the cake was celebrating Holi with the guests, family and villagers. Something I will need forget. From dressing in sarees and turbans to getting completely covered in colours…it was magical.
A must to have on your tour itinerary.
