Great.
Second stay in this riad and always the same pleasure: very spacious, quiet and pleasant rooms; beauty of the place; delicious breakfast and meals. Samira and Said have a sense of service and welcome. Possibility to book excursions. An authentic place and super well placed. We'd love to go back a third time.

Amazing very artistic Riad
I celebrated my 27th birthday in this Riad with my friends it was just amazing! Good atmosphere, good food, very nice place we really liked the terrace with the view of the old town and the Riad is super artistic! Frankly do not hesitate in addition it is 6 minutes walk from the old town.

Stay away solo women!
I hate to write a negative review and jeopardize someone's livelihood but I feel it is necessary to warn female travelers. I rarely write reviews but this was necessary, as I do not understand how this hotel is so well rated. Also, I will preface that I am certain the employee mentioned will reply to this insisting otherwise, as he threatened me to not leave a bad review, saying 'he has my whatsapp # and he will know it was me". This is a long review so the summary is - I am a solo female traveler and the male hotel employee (only employee there) made me extremely uncomfortable and I did not feel safe at this hotel. I would not recommend to solo travelers at all and am going to call the hotel management once I am home. It is also not well taken care of and is not in a great location.
The details -
I am a solo American women in my 40s that is very well-traveled (mostly alone) and has a high tolerance for risk. I arrived in Fes around 6:30 pm, during the Eid. Upon arrival, Youssef sat me down, gave me some lovely tea & cookies in the beautiful courtyard, and then proceeded to try to convince me to have him show me around Fes the next day. I explained I had plans, he told me multiple times to cancel, insisting he needed to practice english with me. I continued to say no thank you. I asked him for a suggestion for dinner nearby and he said he would take me to dinner. Again, I politely declined. Eeek!!!
Please keep in mind there are no other hotel employees in sight, or any other guests. Later I found out that there was only one other guest in the entire riad, and he was leaving the next day.
Finally, after Youseff continued to pester me and push tours, excursions, etc on me, I asked if I may please see my room and actually check in. His pushiness went on for about 15 minutes and was exhausting and not what you want after being nagged by vendors all day.
He took my luggage upstairs and showed me my room. He physically came inside my room, to show me light switches, the bathroom, and my bed, completely unnecessary and made me very uncomfortable. I have never in all of my travels had a hotel employee physically ENTER MY ROOM, other than delivering room service once invited in. He made several inappropriate comments such as 'he gave me a romantic room, even though I am single and here alone" (I'm not actually single) and pulled up the cover of the bed to show me the mattress and that it was comfortable.
I asked him to please leave and then we were still talking outside my room door. He stood so close to me that I had to take a step or two backward (into my room), and then once again he entered my room. Please keep in mind that this is not customary in Morocco and is extremely frowned upon. For example, it is not allowed for two Moroccans of opposite sex to stay in a hotel room together unless they provide a Moroccan marriage certificate.
I was so exhausted from a long day of traveling back from the desert (amazing and wrote a 5 star review for that!) that I took a shower. Getting out of the shower I noticed how dirty the room was and how unfit the bedding was- see photos. I decided that because of my negative interaction with Youseff and the dirtiness of the room, I needed to leave.
I went downstairs to speak to him and ask for a refund (of course I pre-paid 3 nights), the one hotel guest came out of his room and explained that Youseff was not here. The ONE hotel employee was not AT the hotel. Where was he? Watching football at the cafe down the road, which apparently he was doing every night that week the guest was there. Absolutely ridiculous! If I wanted to be staying totally on my own in Morocco I would have just rented an Airbnb and felt much safer. I messaged him and he came running back, out of breath, lying and saying he was there.
Also note, the hotel is NOT near the tourist attractions. The pro is that it is just outside of the medina, so it is not a long walk from where your taxi can drop you, but you are a 30 min walk to the Blue gate and the touristic and safe area of Fes' medina. The guest explained to me that it was not safe to walk around alone at night in the medina, even himself (a 6ft male) was nervous and came back to the hotel after sunset.
Anyway, I spoke with Youseff, he fixed the things in the room I pointed out. The other guest convinced me it was better to stay there the night because finding another place in the medina would be disastrous at this point. So I ended up staying a night and checking out early, without any refund. I will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

very available
the guests were very nice and cute they also helped me when I got sick by cooking rice and giving me everything I needed to heal.... I also recommend for cleaning the rooms as well as for hospitality is the generosity of the guests

Spacious stay, little atmosphere
Riad looks nice, roof terrace is nice except there are not really nice chairs. We had a large room with 4 beds for our family. Parents and 2 teenagers. Although it is a nice building, the room is not really nicely decorated or dressed. Strange bedding and very hard beds.
The breakfast was okay, but we have had better (little variety). The lady was friendly in herself, but was hardly ever there. We often sat alone in the building. When she was there she rattled on flunk in French and made little effort to make herself understood by us (with limited French language). In all the other places we always came out.
If you come by car the location on the outskirts is quite nice. It is still a long walk to the 'center'.
Stay was okay, but not necessarily recommended.
