Very nice town with just about everything you need. There are a big shopping centre, scenic streets, a decent mall and plenty of restaurants.
Fuerteventura is the best place I've ever visited in my entire life. I've had the chance to work there for more or less 2 months and a half in 2010. When I first saw that wonderful island I was on the plane and I thought it was just a desert. Yes, it is a desert (apart from La Lajita), there are just 100.000 inhabitants (and 300.000 goats) but it's full of life and passion. You can experience whatever you want, there: snorkeling, windsurf, kitesurf, surf, quod, exploring the real nature, discover very different places...People are happy there. People can relax, can have fun, can just live at their best. Oh, if I had to choose a place to spend all the rest of my life it would be Fuerteventura.
Less crowded than Gran Canaria or Tenerife, but developping very rapidly, this island is perfect for a short family stay or a relaxing/romantic getaway. If you don't mind the wind -it's a kite-surfer's paradise- the town of Corralejo is fun and affordable, has some excellent tapas-restaurants, great Mojitos and live music.
I really love this place <3
