Perfect Location For Exploring The Coast
The owners and staff here were absolutely wonderful, friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfasts were lovely as was the breakfast room it was served in.
The food for the evening meals was delicious, we only ate in the evening one of our seven nights because mainly we ate out whilst exploring the area.
Casa Ceferinos is located in a lovely little village, near to a church and cemetery, it is surrounded by farmland there was one bar in the village, and it was the perfect place to have a coffee or a glass of beer etc.
The bedroom we stayed in was lovely, bright and large with nice views of the surrounding countryside. For us, the only downside (hence the 4.5 stars that I would give) is the omission of air conditioning.
The establishment itself was very peaceful, but with the windows open the slightest distant sound would disturb the multitude of dogs in the village houses and all would bark or howl, this kept me awake for a while the first night which meant I had to keep the windows shut; air conditioning would have enabled us to sleep as with the windows shut it was quite hot.
The beds were supremely comfortable though and gave us a good night's sleep overall (heat issues aside), the closed windows really did soundproof well from the outside noises. The free WiFi was good too.
For exploring the final points of the camino such as Cabo de Finestere and Muxia or the Costa del Morte this was the perfect location; also the beaches within 5 minutes drive were beautiful. We hired a car and drove around the coast, we were astounded by Galicia's beauty.
A note on portion size, if you are used to ordering food in Southern Spain then order less here as the portions are huge (and we've a good appetite). Order for one, eat for two one local told us :-).
If you are thinking of staying at Casa Ceferinos, I would say give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed. We would definitely visit again if we were in the area.
