Only 100km South of Hanoi, Ninh Binh is an anonymous town, but its surroundings are spectactular. Just 6km outside the city you have Tam Coc and the Unesco site of An Trang. Taking a boat ride or just ciclying around this Karst formations that looks like "Halong Bay on Earth" is very well worth.
Although not an exciting town in itself, Ninh Binh is well worth visiting as a base for exploring the surrounding area. The scenery here is like an inland version of Halong Bay: karst mountains with rice paddies and meandering rivers. It’s a spectacular region of northern Vietnam, and shouldn’t be missed if you have the time. You can explore by bike or by hiring a driver. Highlights include Hoa Lu, Tam Coc and Mua Caves.
My friend and I were travelling together. I hope you will help your foreign create professional style and very unique experience.
