Any city with museums dedicated to comics, classic cars and chocolate is bound to appeal to kids of all ages. Not to mention the hot waffles covered in syrup and cones of frites covered in mayonaise. Adults can wash these down with some great Belgain beers too.
Brussels is a great February mid-term break destination because of its compact size and walkability. It also has good links to other destinations, for those who want to visit more than one Belgian city.

Munich is a great February mid-term break destination in itself, but it’s also a handy gateway to many of Germany’s and Austria’s ski resorts.
One of the better resorts for families is the picturesque Alpbach in the Austrian Alps. If you drive or get a transfer from Munich airport, you’ll reach the slopes in around 90 minutes. This is a short transfer time compared to many other European ski resorts.
