Great Location

Stayed at the Hilton Downtown Toronto during a vacation to Canada. The hotel is centrally located and in walking distance of everything downtown. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the bellhop and warmly greeted by the desk agent. After being awake since 3am CST we appreciated the early check in at 1pm. The room was nice and clean, hotel areas nice and clean. Everyone professional and friendly.

Great Location, Spacious Upgraded Room — Minor Status Hiccup

We booked a room with 2 queen beds using Hilton points and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a spacious room overlooking the CN Tower.
Check-in was quick, though there was an odd moment — we were welcomed as Diamond members (which normally includes lounge access), even though our actual status is Gold (we were Diamond last year). This same mix-up happened at several other Hilton properties during our trip, so it seems like a broader system glitch rather than something specific to this hotel. Aside from that, the front desk staff were efficient and friendly.
The room itself was comfortable and clean — two good-sized queen beds and a standard bathroom — nothing fancy, but the space and the view more than made up for it.
Breakfast is served buffet-style. Continental breakfast is complimentary for Gold members and above, with a $10 fee if you want the hot options. The selection was good, and they also do made-to-order omelets and other egg dishes, which was a nice touch.
A fun bonus: the hotel has connected indoor and outdoor pools, so you can swim between the two — great if you're traveling with family.
The location is fantastic — just a short walk to the CN Tower, Rogers Centre (Blue Jays stadium), and plenty of other downtown attractions.
Overall: A comfortable stay in an unbeatable location, with a spacious room, great view, and solid breakfast. The status mix-up was more amusing than annoying, and everything else about the stay was smooth.

Dear Jacko,
Thank you for your review. We're glad you had a comfortable stay overall, especially as valued Gold Members. It's great our delicious breakfast options helped you start the day on a high note, and we're always happy to hear our relaxing pools hit the spot. We hope you come back soon to Hilton Toronto.

Okay hotel - elevators not functioning properly during my visit

Hotel seems okay overall. Two things - elevators not working properly. Out of 6 elevators, only one works and it stops on every floor going down. It literally can take you 15 minutes or more to go down. Unacceptable. Also, and this isn't about this hotel but about the brand, I am a Diamond member and should get many benefits as such for being loyal. I booked the hotel stay through American Express and since not booked through Hilton, they won't honor my Diamond benefits. If they aren't going to be loyal to me, then I won't choose them next time, no matter who I book through.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We appreciate your long-standing loyalty as a frequent traveler with our brand, and we completely understand your frustration regarding how reservation policies impact elite recognition. We also want to apologize for the delays caused by our current lift service. Currently, we are actively modernizing each unit individually to deliver a completely renewed system by January 2027, and we truly appreciate your patience as these necessary enhancements take place. Your support means a great deal to our team, and we would love the opportunity to provide you with a much smoother experience on a future visit.

Nice Hotel with Great Location

We stayed at the Hilton for one night on a vacation in Toronto. We have stayed there before. The hotel has a great location, in easy walking distance to major attractions and close to public transportation. It is also conveniently connected to the PATH. The room was up to date and very nice. The front desk staff was very nice and we appreciated that they were able to let us check in early.

From the moment we stepped into the lobby everyone we encountered was super friendly and helpful from the check in desk to the concierges. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The location of the property can't get much better. Just a few steps to subway stops, streetcars, Osgoode Hall, Nathan Phillips Square, the Eaton Center, Hospitals, UofT etc. It's even close enough to Union Station we actually walked from there (but you can also take the subway for 2 stops).
