Flights to Paris

Thoroughly imbued with romance, elegance and decadence, Paris is the perfect place to experiment with living the high life. In a country that conscientiously safeguards its culture and traditions, you're guaranteed a flavour of what makes France unique in its capital city -despite its popularity with tourists. Choose flights to Paris for a city break that leaves your head spinning and your heart full.

Experience the Paris Vibe

From the Eiffel Tower to the Arc du Triomphe, Paris is home to some spectacular sights, but there's much more to the city than its postcard-perfect views. Discover the remnants of the glorious jazz age at a café-cornered crossroads in Montparnasse or relive a bygone childhood at the sumptuous Museum of Carnival Arts or Museum of Magic.

Pick up a crepe from of the city's many street stalls and wander along the chestnut tree-lined Avenue des Champs-Élysées, perusing its cafés, luxury specialty shops and cinemas along the way. When the sun goes down, splash some cash by taking in a cabaret at the Moulin Rouge or enjoy seeing the lights of Paris from a peaceful river cruise on the Seine.

Be prepared for Paris Prices

Paris certainly isn't the cheapest city to visit, but the prestige and romance of the capital makes it a favourite despite the many cheaper alternatives on offer. Tipping is not compulsory, especially in cafes or bars, but it’s expected in finer restaurants – especially when the service is good.

To quickly get from one end of the city to another, hop on the Paris Métro. With picturesque stations and an easy to use format, the subway is an excellent way to get around. Ask about weekly and monthly passes or buy a carnet (batch of 10 tickets) and enjoy having the run of Paris.

Flying into Paris

You'll have plenty of airlines to choose from when you're flying from Ireland to Paris, including Swiss, KLM, Aer Lingus, Ryanair and Flybe. Prices can vary greatly depending which airline you choose and where it lands. Two main airports serve the capital: the Paris Orly and the Paris Charles de Gaulle. The latter is the city's busiest airport and the one you're most likely to arrive at, although Orly is the closest to the city centre.

You may also find good deals flying to the Paris Beauvais airport, which is located 85 km north of the capital. This is a favourite option for low-cost airlines and you can sometimes pick up a great deal, but remember to factor in shuttle bus or train fares to Paris when you're working out your budget.

Search for cheap flights to Paris and keep more money aside for holiday essentials – such as strong coffee and warm croissants.
