Check in desks for Ryanair, easyJet, Tui, Thomas Cook Airlines and all major airlines flying from Stansted are in the main terminal building on the ground floor. Meeting arrivals at Stansted

Head to the arrivals hall on the ground floor of the terminal to meet both international and domestic passengers at Stansted. There are handy meeting points in the international arrivals area at the BHRC information desk or Costa Coffee. For UK and Ireland passengers, Café Modena is a popular meeting place.

How do I travel to and from Stansted?

Stansted by car

Stansted is located in Essex, around 40 miles and roughly a 70 minute drive from the centre of London. Head northeast from the city along the M11 and take the exit for the A120, following signs for the airport. The satnav postcode for Stansted is CM24 1RW.

Stansted by bus or coach

National Express runs services between Stansted and most major cities in the UK, as well as direct links with other major London airports. Additionally, there are regular, low-cost shuttle buses operated by Terravision and Citylink to central hubs like London Kings Cross/St Pancras (around 75 minutes journey time).

Stansted by train

The Stansted Express connects London's Liverpool Street station with the airport in less than 50 minutes – you'll find the Stansted Airport station below the terminal building. Change at Liverpool Street for services to major Midlands stations Birmingham and Derby, and onwards to the rest of the UK.

Stansted pick up and drop off

Driving to or from Stansted? Choose from several pick up and drop off options:
Express set down (£2.50 for ten minutes) is best for quick drop offs, as you must stay with the vehicle.
The short stay car park is a better alternative if you're meeting someone from a flight. Prices range from £3.50 for half an hour to £40.00 for 24 hours.
The mid stay car park is free for up to one hour so it's the best option if there are Stansted airport delays. Just hop on the free five minute shuttle to get to the terminal.
Pre-book a spot in the long stay car park online for a cheaper rate to leave your car at the airport while you go on holiday (prices vary).
