What a little gem Hill End Lodge was. We arrived late at night - cold and tired. John welcomed us warmly and Sue and Laura cooked up a storm for us. The place was warm and welcoming. Food and drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was just beautiful. Cabin was set in the most beautiful surroundings and cosy and comfortable. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return. Thanks all.

It was what it was, you get what you pay for. Not many options in Hill End

Nice casual place, nice room, good meals and good base to look around Hill End and Sofala. John the owner was a real character.

Clean, friendly, great location, relaxing and beautiful grounds. Highly recommended.

The rooms were not cleaned, beds unmade, no sheet on another bed.
when changed to another room the tv was broken.
Food was only just eatable.
