Exactly what we paid for

We arrived to an easy check in. The sites are fairly ordinary but a good enough space for our van. Facilities are below average with very old shower/toilets that are quite temperamental. All in all we got what we paid for, cheap site with fair views and a good location

Dreadful failing business

Even for a busy public holiday weekend, the toilets and showers haven’t been cleaned in weeks. No money spent on any upgrades to facilities, with everything in a state of disrepair. No drain for grey water for vans provided, so puddles everywhere. Powered sites are tiny and bleak. Angry night manager itching to tell off kids making for a stressful time for parents. Clearly a failing business with no direction, effort or love left.

Average at best

We camped but the unpowered camping area was rock hard with only a bit of shade round the edges. Not great.
Facilities - camp kitchen was fine, single sex showers were in very bad condition, unisex shower cubicles were better.

Worst Caravan Park Ever

This place is what parks were thirty years ago...the facilities were very old with everything broken or dirty. The powered sites for vans are small and bleak. No money has been spent on this dump for a very long time. There are other options in Bicheno and we suggest you use them!

BASIC, awful showers

We stayed in our camper , so we were happy we could hook up to power and water. The little man used the camp ground showers and reported so many faults and problems that he advised me to use our own van shower. Maintenance was not a priority in this property he kindly advised . Among the problems were falling shower head , spiders, benches missing , door latch broken , very far from camp sites , DIRTY , broken hooks , no space on vanity to place anything bigger than a toothbrush. For $30 a night , you can do better for the money in town. We were the only camper in the place , so that in itself is a telling sign.
I would dare to say that this place is being run by people who have little interest in the property and not much of a conscience about offering well functioning facilities to guests . Perhaps their standards for themselves are quite low so they think it is acceptable for others ? Who knows . We do not have to return do we ?
