Holiday with the fur babies

Great location close to the city centre and walking distance to the War Memorial.
Family and pet friendly good size room especially with the 2 fur babies.
Good value for money the room had a good size secure count yard for the pets attached to our room.
Clean and didn’t smell like other pets have been there.
Friendly staff and amenities were nice.

Nice place, awful food

This hotel had a lot going for it -
Nice atmosphere
Good rooms
Easy and efficient check in
Good location
Easy parking
Good breakfasts
Great to see staff training potential employees in various areas of the hotel
But, two thing were wrong
First - we sat in front of a gas fire which wouldn’t work, despite the efforts of a staff member
Second - we were very disappointed with the food choice so many items contained garlic which I don’t eat. Plus many choices were typical of everyday pub food, but not at all appealing. They really should cater for a wider range of hotel guest who are a little more discerning.
If they pick up on the food, we’d go there again.

Average stay

We stated 2 nights, luxury escapes deal was good value for money. The rooms are outdated. The pull out lounge was uncomfy. The breakfast wasn’t all that great. Pretty average, service average. location is good. could hear people in rooms next door, some ladies having a big night drinking talking laughing was very annoying. Will try different hotel on next visit to Canberra.
