Don't Do It To Youself
I was booked into "Emerald Executive Apartments" as I was working in the area. The advertisement and photos on there website are from many years ago and don't reflect the currunt condition of the place.
I have attached photos of what I was presented with. From the time I received the code for both the front door and room (which was fully open on arrival) it was a nightmare. The room was filthy to say the least, there was mould on the shower and surrounds, the toilet was filthy, the carpet look as if someone had grease on ther shoes and walked it around, the curtain was filthy and the curtain opener was broken, the outside pation was covered in dust and bird droppings. The TV on the wall had obviously been replaced and the wall never repaired.
It would appear that this place relies on the previous occupant to clean the room for the next occupant.
if you require a quet nights sleep you wont get it here. As the front door and room doors have a strong closer on them you constantly hear them all opening and closing all night, other occupants have no respect for anyones privacy and you constantly hear loud voices and TV's, as well as the hall lighting that is sensored so when someone walks in the hall the lights brighten and your door is illuminated. The road past the appartments is busy and you hear cars and trucks all night passing by, it sounds like the sliding front patio door is open, its not. Look up before you try and get some sleep, the light fittings are full of dead insects. Once you are in your room there is no daily changing of towels or bed made, you put up with what you get for your stay.
I would rather sleep in my car then stay at this place.

Unclean
Firstly, the place is difficult to find as it is located in a shopping mall car park. It is also unmanned so there is no staff on site. Access to the building and to your room is by entering a code into a keypad. It seems highly unlikely that the code would be changed between guests and so security could be an issue. The foyer smells very unpleasant and the rooms aren’t much better. The worst problem however is the cleanliness. There were hairs in my shower, the toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly and the blanket on the bed had definitely not been washed between guests. They were finger marks all over the doors and walls and there was a spider and it’s last meal dangling from the ceiling in my room. My colleague found a large cockroach in her kitchen in the morning also.
One positive was the shower was hot and the water was plentiful. Unfortunately the water from the shower pulled all over the bathroom floor so everything got wet.
There are much nicer places to stay in Emerald and I would suggest that would be a better option.

Unsafe and uncomfortable.
Apartments are run down and hardly look like the pictures. Clearly this place has seen better days. Shower had mould and limescale. Bedside table had crumbs on it. Fire alarm had a plastic bag secured over it - which felt highly suspicious and illegal. Felt super uncomfortable and unsafe, the hallways and slamming of doors makes for a very anxious sleep. Not to mention the lack of key, the code on the door makes it feel like anyone could walk in. Wifi did not work. The carpark is extremely open and unsecured. Only people outside were scary and doing laps of the car park. Would not recommend to anyone wanting a safe and clean stay.

Avoid staying here if at all possible
The establishment is run-down, dirty, untidy, some facilities are either broken or in need of repair. There is no reception or any staff on site. There are no keys or locks and instead rooms are accessed by a code. The room looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Dirt, dust, hair and food from other people who had stayed there previously was in the kitchen, bathroom and blankets. The air conditioner was old and extremely noisy. The rooms have no soundproofing and are located near a busy road and shopping centre. I would avoid at any price point, though I was charged $190 for the night.

Do not stay here unless the price drops to about $20 per night - even then it would probably be too overpriced
dirty, very noisy, broken power points, mouldy shower, no drinking glasses. access drive is incredibly dangerous - less than 20 mtrs from a blind corner. Rosie did refund my money but told me I wasn't allowed to leave a bad review - this is a breach of Consumer Law.
