● Room upgrade to a VIP King, well designed and beautifully appointed
● Welcome amenity, a lovely Hyde room spray and chocolates
● amazing staff from check in to check out
● hosted my book club of 10 pax Mr Mills in the basement bar where we received attentive service and fantastic snacks and wine
● Marmelo bar great atmosphere, delicious bar snacks
● Cleo's roof top for the welcome drink and bar snacks, great atmosphere
● breakfast at Cleo"s rooftop was delicious and efficient service

Visual treat Melbourne CBD hotel

Loved the prime location and the undeniable chic factor here. The aesthetic is incredibly modern and pleasing to the eye. Shoutout to my membership perks and travel advisor for landing me a fantastic room upgrade!
On the flip side, the hotel's tight physical footprint means you sacrifice space. The amenities are sparse, and calling the check-in area a "lobby" is a stretch for a 5-star joint. Their selling point on aside from room was their rooftop bar/restaurant which was nice. But speaking of food the biggest drawback during my stay was breakfast—a very limited à la carte affair that ran out of exciting choices quickly.
Great for a stylish crash pad and in-room staycation, less so if you want full 5* hotel-style amenities.

Throughly enjoyed our stay at Hyde Melbourne. Beautifully appointed rooms that are clean, comfortable & spacious. Great location, especially for restaurants, bars & nightlife. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Great location, very expensive

I booked the Twin Share room for myself and a friend, but it was so small and dingy we decided that we could not stay in it so she booked her own room! The room was comfortable for one person but very dark which made it difficult to work. The shower is amazing as are the amenities. The restaurant on the top floor is excellent and the included breakfast was delicious. Excellent coffee to (as you'd expect in Melbourne.) The two young Irish guys at Reception were lovely and very helpful. The fridge in my room was leaking - I notified reception and the maintenance person appeared immediately to check it.
