Clean Motel

Very clean motel room. The room we had was not overly big but had everything we needed. Close walk to a club.
Some road noise but what Motel hasn't.
Would stay again if visiting Nelson Bay

Best stay in Shoal Bay!

Super clean and comfortable!!
Super friendly and accommodating staff.
Would definitely recommend as a reliable place to stay and see the bay.
Added bonus is there is easily accessible parking right outside.
Overall 10 out of 10!!!!!!!!!

Clean and comfortable! Friendly staff.

Was recommended to stay here by some friends local to the area. And by jobe what a great recommendation it was!
Not only was it a great location (could walk into town or to the beach easy enough), it was a really comfortable Motel. Clean , modern and Fresh! Clearly someones thoughtfully planned and decorated the rooms. The bed was very comfortable, and layout was great!
There was also handy coffee making facilities and basics in the small kitchen. The nights were peaceful and quiet, and there was a lovely garden to sit and sun in!
Self check in worked very well, and was straight forward. The staff answered any questions I had and were very quick to respond. Met the manger Caitlin a few times, and was always given some Fab food recommendations, or places to go! Lovely people!
Ill definitely be back to stay again!

A perfect coastal escape! Nelson Palms is a hidden Gem!

We were blown away by the stunning decor & the peaceful atmosphere. It is beautifully styled - coastal, calm & full of charm. Our room was so clean & the bed was comfy. Location is ideal, just a short walk to the marina, cafe & beach. 100% recommend for a weekend away!

We loved our stay!!

We had the most amazing stay at this motel in Nelson Bay! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless and welcoming. The room was modern, beautifully presented, and surprisingly spacious. The bed was super comfortable, and the attention to detail—from the quality linens to the thoughtful touches—really made it feel like a home away from home.
The location was perfect—just a short walk to the marina, shops, and some great cafes and restaurants. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Nelson Bay—whether it’s a weekend getaway or a longer stay, you won’t be disappointed. We’ll definitely be back!
