Best hostel in Sydney
The tequila sunrise is the best hostel in town, the food is really good, there is nice rooftop, it’s clean, the staff is wonderfull especially Eddy ! I would recommend everyone to come here to stay in Sydney

Great place to stay in Sidney! ✨
I went to Sydney for a concert and didn’t have high expectations of the hostel because I was only staying for a short time. But everyone was so friendly! It’s a very social hostel, both the guests and the staff.
I highly recommend it for both short and long stays! The location, breakfast and dinner, and the rooftop are definitely some of its highlights!

Excellent experience
My experience at this hostel completely exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the cleanliness was immediately apparent: the rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were spotless and meticulously maintained.
But what truly makes this place unique is the hospitality. Eddie treated us wonderfully from the moment we arrived; his service was friendly and attentive, and he was always ready to help with anything we needed to make our stay more comfortable. And the food is simply excellent! Homemade dishes, fresh and incredibly flavorful, that made me feel right at home.

Hostel Experience with Breakfast, Dinner, Rooftop Gym
Being my first solo trip ever I was a bit anxious to see how I went. I chose Tequila Sunrise Potts Point due to the dinner and breakfast being included. It was a bonus finding out there was a rooftop gym which I utilised on many occasions after breakfast. I really enjoyed getting to know people from all different backgrounds during my 8 day stay. Some staff I’d like to highlight include Danna, she was very lovely at the reception check in check out desk. Isi did a terrific job as events planner, I thoroughly enjoyed the split to manly beach walk on my last day. I would like to also highlight Eddie from the night staff. The only downside of my stay was someone nicked my change of clothes bag which was very odd. Eddie helped by checking cameras and even as going as far and beyond as searching through bins. The hostel was closely proximated to Kings Cross Station which made it very easy to get around by public transport and very centrally located with close by walks to Pitt Street mall, Circular Quay in a sense, the royal botanical gardens. I throughly enjoyed my stay, I've probably made some friends for life who I hope to see again sometime. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to stay in a hostel for a reasonable price. I would stay here again my next time in Sydney. Thank you Tequila Sunrise Potts Point for your hospitality.

Stay a week & see
I'm surprised there is only one other review listed here, when and is so completely negative and it would seem intentionally misrepresenting the reality of the place, perhaps deliberately so although I can tell they are familiar with the place. First off however there are no less than two bathrooms per floor and one additional shower per floor, with one of the bathrooms being much bigger and containing an additional shower. During my stay if both bathrooms have been occupied on one floor it has been easy enough to walk up or down one flight of stairs to find another two there and they are well cleaned each and each shower is equipped with vegan shampoo, conditioner & body wash saving that can really add up for those living on a budget, the water pressure is good but the exhaust fans are quite loud and kick in via motion sensor along with lights when you walk in.
Dinner & breakfast are included each day with breakfast comprising of pancakes, there sometimes four different cereals, three varieties of yoghurt, jam, Nutella, peanut butter two different kinds of bread wholegrain or white & nut milks full cream milk & butter. And is by far the best I've experienced while living out of hostel this last little while. Dinner is also worthwhile and can really help save your money for use elsewhere, it's true that the kitchen does get quite busy around seven when dinner is served though it not true that there is no other cooking allowed at this time, there are no fewer than 12 gas cook tops generally available which during dinner service may be reduced to 8 but the kitchen is also reasonably well equipped with only the occasional shortage of preferred cutlery ,plates, bowls, saucers and teas cups are in good supply and a zip boil hot water system which means no waiting on boiling kettles, additionally, sugar, salt, coffee & tea are freely supplied 24/7 with there being the ability to bake also with two small ovens along with your standard microwave. Since tequila sunrise put it's name to the building there has been a lot of renovations, I stayed here previously when it was Sydney central backpackers and it has been markedly improved since. It has a nice rooftop space and occasionally has cinema nights on the rooftop. Though this isn't a weekly occurrence and there is isn't a media room like there is at other places, just friendly conversation,playing card, board & drinking games available. The lobby area & kitchen is open 24 hours which a plus for those working shift work and with surface cleaning and vacuuming happening are regular intervals. When considering to price, location & local amenities tequila sunrise Potts point hostel is really good value with staff & management who are continually seeking to improve upon the place & facility having recently installed new air-conditioning into each room in rediness for summer.
