The Valley Hotel units are a great budget central option for those visiting the Barossa for wine tasting. Large size rooms with adequate but basic amenities. So easy to access Tanunda's restaurants on foot after a day on the tasting trail.

Well worth dining here

We ate here for two nights and found the meals to be excellent, from the Pensioner's Roast which was juicy lamb, the garlic prawns, wedges with enough sour cream and chilli sauce, vegetarian lasagne and the seafood basket.
The later was the best I had eaten in over 50 years with a terrific fillet of flathead. This plus the calamari and prawns were all cooked in a light and crispy tempura style batter, with great chips and a salad.
Staff were very friendly.

Easy parking right outside the room. Comfy bed. Basic but perfect for being right in the centre of Tanunda, walkable to restaurants, bars and a couple of cellar doors. We always stay here when we go up to Tanunda.

The room had adjacent parking and was located close to restaurants, cafes and the tourist information centre. It was a good base to visit the wineries in the area.
