Greatest Bargain Ever

I thought Wangaratta never had Gems. I just found the Diamond in the rough.
The budget room ( I've paid more for worse pub rooms)
Tv, Fridge, microwave, a comfortable bed, coffee, tea, milk, even an electric blanket, The rooms are older, Super clean and have everything and more than one would expect. Value for money is exceptional

Very badly maintained property. Water leaks on bathroom floor. Curtain tracking broken. Back door to patio wrecked, not lockable. No soap available in bathroom.
Bathroom taps not working properly.
Our room was advertised as a BASIC unit. OK the cost was basic we had to admit, but the condition did not meet basic specs.
As ex motel owners we are well aware of "BASIC" conditions. In all of our travels in 30 years with Hotel.com this is only our 2nd bad report. Didn't even feel like taking advantage of the free continental breaky.

The loungeroom and bathroom were not clean. There was hair, grime and dirt on the floor. The loungeroom had crumbs on the lounge and a used tea towel in the kitchen.
The bed seemed clean.
At check-in we were not informed that there was breakfast.

Budget accommodation, it was old but clean and good value for the price. The continental breakfast was a nice bonus.

One of the most incredible things about this day I cannot stop thinking about was the fantastic electric blankets on the bed I had such a warm and comfortable sleep. The staff were very polite and helpful and the breakfast the next morning the bread and milk and everything was fresh and was fantastic start to the day. The cost of the room was very economical and it didn't feel small or pokey at all. Not a single thing to complain about.
