Never disappoints!
Another trip to Alpbach and another trip to the Berghof!
First came here while self catering one summer about 5 years ago and have returned every time we come back.
The staff are delightful and the food and drink are excellent! Nothing seems to be too much trouble.
The ribs are superb and this time, I can confirm that the pork and dumplings are just as good!

Lovely little hotel.
We stayed at the Berghof on an Ingham's half board deal. This is a lovely hotel in a good location. Views from our balcony were amazing. The food was excellent. Continental breakfast with plenty to choose from and a boiled egg every morning. We weren't given a choice for evening meals but we knew that when we booked. The meals were lovely. Three courses every night and I can honestly say we enjoyed every one. Staff were lovely. Very welcoming and service at mealtimes was excellent. Our room was cleaned every day. And cleaned properly. It was lovely to come back to a fresh smelling room. A special mention to Monica who looked after us on the Tuesday evening's when the restaurant was closed to the public. A really lovely lady. All in all a lovely place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

Nice restaurant, good food
I have stayed various times in Alpbach, on my own and with friends, and can recommend the restaurant at Der Berghof for it's excellent, very nicely presented dishes, nice atmosphere, good prices and excellent and attentive service.

Great stay
We have stayed in Alpbach in various properties over the years but was extremely pleased with our stay at Der Berghof! We arrived and check in was efficient and friendly and after a beer at the bar we went upstairs! Our room was first floor with a lovely view of the mountain. Renovated rooms were excellent with under floor heating in the bathroom and mood lighting in the shower. The lighting was excellent which is often not the case in Austria. Our room was very clean and not massive but perfectly adequate with a large comfy double bed and plenty of storage. I would have liked a chest of drawers but there were shelves in the wardrobe instead. There was a desk and chair. A large balcony with chairs outside. The room was very quiet indeed never hearing any other guests, doors banging etc. The restaurant is excellent and very good value. We have a large group of friends and we always eat at the Berghof at least once as the food is very good, and they also have specials at different times of the week! It is in a very convenient location just near the bus stop for the ski bus or behind the hotel is the beginners ski slope. Breakfast was plentiful, all the usual cereals, yogurts, pastries, ham cheese toast fruit, jams, eggs etc. The only slight moan is we would have preferred to have eaten earlier in order to catch the first ski bus. Serving starts at 8 am but to be fair we did go in slightly before and it was fine. Eric the owner is on hand for and is a bit of a character, promising us both a schnapps if the sun didn't shine the next day!! Outside is a lovely sun trap and terrace area perfect to have drink at the end of the day with blankets and fire to keep you warm! I would highly recommend this Hotel and will return one day for sure!

Lovely hotel, gorgeous location!
The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The hotel is a one minute walk from the ski bus pick up, and close to many nice pubs and restaurants.
