Quaint & charming hotel, with amazing views over lake & mountains!

Lovely hotel and restaurant with wonderful views. We were greeted by a wonderful chap in lederhosen, father of the owner/chef. Not close to the city, so your own transportation is recommended; either car or e-bike (it’s up quite a hill). Hotel reception doesn’t open until 4pm, although we were able to sit outside on the terrace until open. Restaurant is very popular with locals, and we can understand why; dinner was delicious! Be sure to make a reservation or you may not get a table. Our room was very comfortable with amazing views of the lake & mountains.

Good standard hotel

Quite a climb to the hotel when you have a bicycle and paniers. Good standard of rooms - we had a balcony with terrific view. Good restaurant which is popular with locals and operates independently of hotel. Friendly staff.

Sweet Suites

We stayed in Hotel Hochek for just one night in Sept 2013. We were in one of the buildings that is separate from the main part of the hotel and had a small suite with a separate bedroom, kitchen and living areas along with a nice balcony. I wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is quite a long walk from the center of Altmunster so it would probably be better to have a car to get around. We were on bicycles but it was a bit of a climb to get from the R2 cycle path up to the hotel so we weren't keen to go back down and up the hill after riding all day. Fortunately, there is a nice restaurant on site.

Landgasthof vom Feinsten

Freundliche Bedienung, Obwohl das Haus mehr als voll war, kaum Wartezeit. Qualität der Speisen hervorragend. Besonderes Highlight: die selbstgebrannten preisgekrönten Schnäpse.
Ein Haus, in dem man sich als Gast rundherum wohlfühlt.

Hier passt alles! Gute Basis fuer einen Fahrradurlaub am Traunsee

Freundlichkeit des Personals, Sauberkeit und Preis-Leistung passen hier. DIe Lage mit Blick auf den Traunsee oberhalb von Altmuenster ist perfekt und der gr. Parkplatz sollte immer genug Kapazitaet haben. Das Fruehstueck war Corona-bedingt limitert , aber mehr als angemessen mit hervorragenden Backwaren vom Baecker.
Unsere Zimmer hatten direkten Seeblick und einen Balkon oberhalb der Gasthofterrasse (Top!). Sie waren nicht die neuesten, aber alles sauber und ordentlich. Ein zusaetzliches Kissen gab es auf Nachfrage ohne Probleme.
EInziger Nachteil ist die Bahnstrecke vor dem Hotel. Wobei die elektrischen Zuege aber relativ leise waren und uns nur wenig stoerten.
