Wonderful Gasthof Auerhahn

Old, homey and welcoming Auerhahn is a wonderful place to spend your skiing holidays at. Hans, the manager, makes you feel welcome at once and you feel like you are guests in his home. The building is old with its own history and a must to visit. Easy ski out and ski in and with a bus stop right in front of the building are shure winners.
The only complaint we had were the somewhat high prices for the dinners. Food was absolutely honest, in order and tasty but somehow we expected a little more for those prices.
On the other hand this is not an inexpensive part of the alps to begin with.

Good cooking high prices

Dined with friens on a snowy Sunday, fine welcome with a glas of wine and homemade bread.
Good cooking with fresh honest local producs. Only thing that was not OK is the price, the hotel as well as the restaurant to me is overprice, this might be the reason we were alone that night.

Gasthof Auerhahn, Heidi's House

Gasthof Auerhahn is our favorite restaurant is Zug, Lech. We call it "Heidi's house" since it is a very cute and charming place. The ambiance and hospitality are heart warming and the food is fabulous. We prefer to go there from Lech when there is heavy snow, by horse sleigh or by bus; then it is eternal peace with an incredible view. The owner is a superb gentleman who treats everybody as if you were his close friend. It deserves 10 over 10 with stars

Restaurant has Excellent service in a warm setting

This is a traditional family run Austrian restaurant. We were offered a sampling of Austrian wine to start and we finished off the meal with a sampling of a variety schnapps. We have been here each ski trip because it is a very comfortable atmosphere, service is great and not over the top. First time we took a horse drawn sleight there but you can easily walk to Zug from Lech or take the free bus. This is a must , it’s has delicious food!

Historic old guesthouse in a lovely place

As this was the end of the season there were few other guests which was fortunate because the building is very old and creaks with every step! However, the owner Hans is so friendly and the food was great. We had some lovely walks locally and really enjoyed our stay. Hans was very helpful and gave us lots of advice for walks and further areas to visit on our trip.
