Wonderful time in the Zillertal
After a very friendly reception/check in we moved into our bright, friendly room in the 4th floor. Stock. The view from the large balcony was outstanding. Friendliness of Service staff (bar, restaurant, room service) was outstanding. Wishes were always fulfilled very quickly. The selection of tasty food for breakfast and dinner was very varied and abundant, especially the starter and salad buffet in the evening.
The pool was pleasantly tempered but a bit small. The wellness area with Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, steam bath and infrared cabin pleasantly bright and well equipped. Sauna towels were always available. Fruit and dried fruits as well as tea and water were always available.
All in all, we had a nice, relaxing stay in a very friendly atmosphere.
We can definitely recommend this place.

Nice place. Not super walkable but good food and great spa. I wish it was open 1 hour later. If you have a vacation schedule then probably not an issue. But if you have time constraints to consider can be a little difficult.

Not classified in the correct hotel category
A little old, but clean. The service staff are almost all very friendly and competent.
But: we found the food to be of poor quality, because after dinner there was always an unpleasant feeling of fullness and that was certainly not due to too much of the food. We had the impression that we work with flavor enhancers and other binders, little is produced ourselves (e.g. good funds for good sauces and the like) which - at least for us - was very unwholesome.
The breakfast buffet was always the same, without variety, offered a good average, but everything routinely served, always the same jams, always the same sausages and cheeses, bread and rolls. Unimaginative. It is hazy to me why there are so many good reviews for here in many reviews for food and breakfast. But the tastes and demands are different.
The spa area - well - it's clean. The pool is tiny, the water at 30 degrees far too warm. The saunas are neat and the relaxation room pleasant.
Our junior suite (southeast side) with beautiful views disappointed with a much too small bathroom. The furniture in the room, very little storage space, a small cupboard with storage compartments unpleasantly high up - and we are not small - were not exactly the hit.
At check-in there was no explanation and no indication of the handling of the key board, which is ingenious by the way. No reference to the guest cards etc. The (junior?) chief had checked us in. After 2 days then the question about bus timetable, stops to the village etc. and then came the hint, everything is free to use via the guest card. Ah yes... The young lady (daughter? Daughter-in-law?) at the reception was then extremely friendly, fast, competent and professional in issuing the digital guest cards. Just as you'd expect.
All in all, we see the standard of the hotel not at 4, but at 3 stars.

A special stay
Oh my - this is a special place. Been in the family for 100 years!! And it's a place filled with love and care. The views are spectacular across the valley. You can ski right to the door! The food is divine (even have a veg/fruit juicer at breakfast as well as a fresh omlette chef!) and the rooms are so comfy. The spa is the perfect place to zone out staring at some mountains or sweat it out in the sauna(s - x2!!!).

The geraniums are more important than the privacy of guests.
Despite a “Don’t disturb” sign on the door and the lock locked from the inside, a hotel employee entered my room unannounced while I was asleep – on the grounds that he wanted to water the flowers. This happened even though it had been raining all day and room service had already arrived in the morning. An absolutely unacceptable incident.
When I approached the employee about it, he repeatedly refused to let me finish and showed no understanding of my moment of terror.
At the reception I received an apology, but it was more like not being taken seriously – you were smiled at rather than treated with respect.
The food was okay , the room for the price fine, sauna area small but fine. Nevertheless, I would not recommend this hotel to women travelling alone – the feeling of security in their own room should be self-evident, but is unfortunately not given here.
Then I left.
