HAUS EDITH

have known Haus Edith for some years, first I stayed there with my family in the 80s which was very memorable. stayed there again in July 2018 with my wife. Wonderful inn (Pension in German) on a hill top overlooking Woerther See and the village of Maria Woerth. Rooms are very comfy, with balcony overlooking the lake. B-fast buffet out of this world with a wide selection of delish stuff. No reason to go out for dinner, Mr Suppan and Madam Suppan (inn keepers) prepare a wonderful dinner daily (home cooked from scratch) for a very reasonable cost, wine and other spirits are available. The inn has a fantastic on the lake property (five minutes down the road), very private, with lounging chairs, canoe and peddle boat etc , and fantastic restaurant for lunch. Cant beat it! definitely a winner and highly recommended. check out their website, definitely true and without exaggeration. Stay there more than one night! Enjoy!

Great small hotel in a perfect location

Hotel is set in a quiet location just few hundred meters from the lake and wonderful Maria Worth peninsula. We had a room with breath-taking view of Worthersee. Owners were really friendly and breakfast was great. One day we would like to stay much longer.

Wonderful Hospitality

This small hotel has wonderful views of the Worthersee although it is not right o the lake. The hotel is clean and charming with great internet service. The breakfast exceeded some of our experience in five-star hotels. Dinner is a wonderful fixed four-course menu. On the night we were there, it was a soup, salad, perfectly cooked fresh lake fish, and dessert. There is a small reasonably priced list of local wines. All in all, a wonderful stay.

Beautiful view of the lake

Haus Edith is in a beautiful location with magnificent views over Lake Wörthersee. Breakfast was included and was excellent. The hotel does not have a restaurant but you can part take of meals that ovners family cooked each night. No menu the hotel just cooked 2 meals that you could select. Here are very friendly and helpful owners and staff.

Beautiful Hotel overlooking the Wörthersee

Our family, consisting of grandparents, parents and a young child, visited Haus Edith in September, and we were lucky that the weather was quite good. Haus Edith is in a beautiful location with magnificent views over Lake Wörth. The hotel has its own boat house and dock a comfortable walk down the hill from the Hotel. We enjoyed free use of the paddle boat and the row boat, the changing cabins and lounge chairs provided. Swimming from the dock in the clean, clear water (which was actually quite warm, even in September) was a delightful experience. As great as that experience was, the dinner was possibly even better. The vegetables and salad were picked from the garden just before dinner. Preparation was outstanding, and it would be difficult to find a better soup anywhere. The rooms were not large, but comfortable, and very quiet. This was a wonderful place for a family getaway and we enjoyed it thoroughly.
