A cozy hotel, you immediately feel at home.

We have been to this hotel twice with a larger hiking group of the Alpine Club and always very satisfied. The host family makes an extraordinary effort to take care of their guests, you immediately feel at home here. Especially the food is a treat. For example, the landlady is still out in the forest in the morning to spoil the guests with a sponge meal in the evening. The indoor pool and sauna invite you to end the afternoon relaxed. Especially the price/performance ratio is perfect. We will certainly come back.

Nice affordable hotel close to the Obertauern ski area

The Twengerhof is a nice hotel for people who are looking for a fair priced place to stay and enjoy skiing. The bus stop taking you to the Obertauern ski area is across the hotel only 1 minute walk and within 10 minutes you can start skiing. The hotel is well accomodated with a swimming pool, sauna, solarium and the staff is very friendly. Food was fine with a breakfast buffet with a large variety of choice in the morning and a salad buffet with several dishes to choose from at night. If you'd like to try another skiing area take the bus or car to grosseck / speiereck direction of Mauterndorf, it's also nice.

Good rooms, poor food

The rooms were clean and nice, we enjoyed the three nights sleeping there, although there was no soap, shampoo, etc. in the bathroom. The place is very close to Obertauern, ca. 10 minutes by car / bus. Bus stop is next to the hotel.
There was a very poor supply of breakfast (no vegetables or hot meals). We very disappointed in dinner, too. It was three-course, but most of it were deep-frozen, warmed-up meals, which were not tasty at all. Also the soup was instant.
The staff was helpful.

Hunde-Urlaub im eigenen Land? -> auf nach Tweng!

Buchung direkt war OK, lediglich etwas oberflächlich die Rückmeldung.
Die Ankunft: Chef war - 14 Uhr - im Stress und daher, na sagen wir mal (freundlich umschrieben) "unkonzentriert, nicht sehr freundlich und weg vom Fenster!"
Umbuchung auf Halbpension -> problemlos
Hundemitnahme in den Speisesaal -> problemlos
Tägliche Touren und Wandervorschläge vom Chef direkt, der nach dem ersten Tag wesentlich entspannter war -> Einfach genial!!
Abendessen -> Abwechslungsreich und ausgezeichnet!
Frühstück -> vielfältig und reichlich
Zimmer -> nett, sauber und bequem
Alles in Allem, die richtige Gegend auch für "ältere" Personen, aber auf jeden Fall ein Paradies für den Hund!

Tranquillità ma hotel sconsigliato

Bella posizione, in mezzo alle montagne austriache. Peccato per l’hotel: piscina con orari ridotti e acqua ghiacciata; camera pulita ma con arredamento datato. Colazione pessima, poca varietà e scarsa qualità dei prodotti offerti. Personale gentile ma parla solo tedesco.
