Always delicious BUT shame on the owner for making the staff work under such conditions

We have been to this restaurant 5 times
The staff is always pleasant despite the heat
Last year for lunch on a Sunday, a terrace with a fan
We returned on Saturday, June 27 for dinner, but the heat wave had already been in place for a few days!!!
One fan for 5 tables
We could not dine outside because the chef refused because there was a risk of a storm
The chef's response: I have hip and knee problems. Okay, but can your customers bear this heat?
My husband, being a transplant recipient, can no longer tolerate the heat like many of the customers present.
We asked if we could have dessert outside, but there was no more light.
So, Mr. Owner, when are you going to make improvements for your staff and your customers?
Do not be surprised that you can no longer find staff in the hospitality industry.
Kudos to the staff who work under such conditions.

Culinary failure

Atmosphere? Top
Meal? Big disappointment. 2nd stay. The first one was sublime. This time? A disappointment. Why come and add a sauce... a trick emulsion...? It is impossible to taste and taste the ingredients present. Everything was drowned. Too much sauce kills the sauce. Really disappointed value for money because of the meal.

The sweetness of living in Belgium

This place is a haven of peace.
Pension is beautiful, not too big. The park is beautiful, there are horses, donkeys, goats and sheep... we spent two nights there, with the Impression of having left for a week. Resources and ready for the start of the school year!
The girls who looked after us were perfect, smiling and dedicated.
The restaurant is beautiful, the cuisine refined and original. Perfect service.

Special weekend away in a beatiful hotel, lovely gardens, hosts and excellent restaurant

A very special weekend away to cycle liege-bastonge-liege. Excellent and very friendly hosts that made a very special effort for our family, their standard of service was very high. Delicious breakfast and dinner, we enjoyed the chef's creativity very much. We had a beautiful view from our room overlooking the pool and lovely gardens, just stunning. The room was a very nice size and we were able to sit outside on the balcony and enjoy the morning sunshine and the peaceful setting. All-in-all, a perfect weekend away for our family of 5 and we would highly recommend Lafarques for a peaceful break away.
