First started staying here about 35 years ago and have used this family owned hotel ever since. Terrific friendly atmosphere and the food has always been very good. Easy to get to from the Antwerpen to Venlo motorway and free off street parking.
The only problem is that it has 2 floors with bedrooms and no lift and the stairs are awkward. Staff are always willing to help with luggage and it is just the way the hotel has been developed. It certainly does not stop me wanting to stay there though.

Recommended!

Located directly on the road through Zoersel and has a large parking lot. The room was big and good. The brasserie in the house is excellent. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast was fine.

Quiet place

I slept one night in the hotel on a Tuesday and it was quite quiet.
I arrived a little after 15 hours, with the parking lot having several places and the access to the reception was quite easy to find.
After check-in, I was instructed on how to access the room location and the attendant, realizing that I didn't find it first, showed me where it was.
The place is also a restaurant, so there is an entrance to the hotel, between the two areas of the lobby and so I got a little confused and liked how I was promptly directed to the place I should go.
Only then came the main problem of the hotel: there is no elevator.
Unfortunately I did not notice this detail when making the reservation and because I did not have the knee 100%, I was forced to feel some discomfort due to the lack of elevator.
I had 2 bags and 1 backpack, with the same attendant who helped me find where the access door was, helped me with the bags to climb the stairs, without me having to ask.
The room was facing the highway and it was peaceful to sleep, because the night did not have much noise, the movement was almost zero.
The bed was single, having two beds and it was peaceful to lie in it. The cover was normal, the shower very spacious, with the bathroom having a good size and the only problem of the room was the pillow, which had a very low height. And this problem I had in all 12 hotels from 4 different countries during my trip.
The breakfast cost me €12 and was very good.
When I arrived at the restaurant, I was asked the room and I was directed to the table that was reserved for me, having the amount for 1 Cover.
There was a basket with 3 loaves and 1 croissant, a jar of orange juice and a basket with honey bread and items to pass on the bread.
As soon as I sat down, they asked what kind of egg I wanted and also brought cold, being embedded, cheese and a "meat sauce" (which was divine).
The food was so much that I took over with me and gave for 2 snacks.
The choice of the hotel was due to the proximity to the Café Trappisten Westmalle, which took me 36 minutes to get there.
It is quite easy to get to, because both the hotel and the bar of the brewery are in the same street, being the main avenue of the region and with that it is enough to go straight all life, both to go and back.
For those who are in the area to taste the Westmalle beers and have no problem with stairs, I recommend the stay.
