Beachfront Room
Location - Coco reef is not really close to much - 10 minute taxi, 50 minute walk to Hamilton. 20 minute taxi to the caves/aquarium, 30 minute taxi to the airport, approximately 40 minute taxi to St. George (forts and Tobacco Bay). We downloaded the Hitch app and were able to order taxis as you would Uber. They were hit or miss waiting between 3 and 20 minutes depending on the time of day or driver. There are a lot of cruise ships so I preferred to stay in this area where it wasn’t as crowded.
Atmosphere- friendly staff, beach was so clean and close to the room. We had no trouble securing a chair and umbrella. We went to the beach around 9 am and didn’t feel the need to wake up early and get out. Some reviews reported cruise ship crowds but we didn’t experience any of that during our stay.
Rooms - beachfront room was clean, bathroom was well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion. There was a safe and refrigerator. There was a coffeemaker. It was very quiet, except for some crickets at night and birds in the morning. We didn’t hear any neighbors above or next to us.
As I mentioned we got a great deal booking on TripAdvisor so I felt we had gotten a good value for our money. The restaurant on premises was nice but pricey. We ended up walking to Paraquet (about a 12 minute walk) and getting breakfast and dinner there a few times at half the price. There’s a market within walking distance that was good for drinks and snacks. Also, the Ice Queen had ice cream and snacks. St. Paul’s was very welcoming and friendly for Sunday service. Overall, I would stay there again.

Cruise ship passengers - take over
When we arrived at the hotel there were a few niggles – minor things that could have been quite easily rectified and whilst I made my feelings known, four days on I am still waiting to hear from the Manager. The “your feedback is important to us” is purely lip service !
After 4 days the experience has certainly taken a down turn which has certainly compelled me to write this review while I’m still here.
It is NOT abundantly clear but certainly has a detrimental effect on your experience at this hotel is that it is being used as an excursion venue for cruise ships docked in Bermuda
Two days ago it took two hours to have lunch – purely due to the restaurant being full of cruise ship passengers
Today every single sun lounger around the pool is reserved with a cruise ship towel but not one ship passenger is seated on them and unless we had secured a sun lounger early on the beach we would be sat on the sand today .
A 3 star hotel on a stunning beach is infested with very loud brash adults and moaning crying kids on the cruise ship excursion days.
It most certainly taints the vibe and relaxing feeling that you should be experiencing from booking this hotel.
