A very pleasant place

We stayed at the Kalina complex for a week as two families in adjacent apartments. We were skiing but didn't want to be up at Borovets and the daily drive up to the resort isn't very far. The apartments were simple but always warm and comfortable. There was always a supply of wood to burn on the stove, which coupled with the ambient heat meant it could be pretty hot. Towels were changed during the week. The staff were particularly pleasant and helpful. I liked Dolna Banya as a town. It has a few Mini Marts and an ATM. Kostanets, down the road has a bit more should you need it.
We rarely ate out and the cooking facilities in the houses were perfectly adequate.
We would all certainly stay again. Thanks for a very nice holiday.

Great location, stunning Views

We stayed here for a week to see the sites and go mountain biking in and around Borovets. It’s perfect, we were well looked after, the villa was spacious and had everything we needed. We visited the Borovets bike park and it only takes 30 mins on a mountain bike to roll all the way back down to Dolna Banya, the other towns and places to eat nearby are great, we loved the place and it is so cheap to eat and drink out, the views are amazing, the cable cars are also very cheap, about £6 to go up to 2200m, wow it is so like the Alps but a fraction of the cost. The people are so friendly and helpful, we will be back!

Stayed at a friends villa amazing place the complex is basic but this is the appeal to me its location for a relaxing stay is key the views are breathtaking and the mountain range is so amazing and mostly untouched by any corporate rubbish local run businesses amazing food breathtaking-views and a amazing house like a home from home reality is will nether go on vacation in a tourist area or commercial area again as this was a amazing romantic vacation

Great get away!

Close enough from Sofia to get away for the weekend and far enough to feel the relaxing properties of the mountains. Very reasonable prices for a villa nice pool with tiki type bar that served drinks, coffee and soft drinks and some snacks like ice cream and fruits.
Very enjoyable weekend!

small complex

Only stayed for one night, mainly to check it out for the purpose of possibly purchasing.
We were not disappointed. The 2 bed "town house" was spacious enough to live in full time, it had 2 en-suites and a cloakroom downstairs. the complex was small. unsure if it gets noisy during peak times, -very few people there in May.
It is just a 5 minute stroll to the town centre.( an ATM if required)
The only down side was, that typical of many Bulgarian towns, dogs tend to bark at night.Apart from that , a great place to re visit. :)
