If you're looking for a place that feels like home, the Rocky Mountain Bed & Breakfast is the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The rooms were comfortable, spotless, and beautifully maintained.
The food was absolutely amazing—every breakfast was fresh, delicious, and prepared with care. It was the perfect way to start each day.
The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and exceptional hosts made our stay unforgettable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back. I highly recommend the Rocky Mountain Bed & Breakfast to anyone looking for a relaxing, welcoming, and memorable place to stay.

Awesome mountain sunsets

The panoramic views of the mountains from this location are spectacular but you do contend with some occasional noise from trains and Hwy40 in the valley. The host is friendly and full of suggestions for nearby activities and the fire pit and games available on the property. Because of that guidance we were convinced to go kayaking at Switzer Park, and not disappointed. We stayed in 2 different rooms over 2 nights. Both were clean and comfortable. The host cooks and serves a hearty breakfast. We had bacon smoked on the premises. It was tasty. Normally at a place in this bracket I'd expect fresh fruit but it wasn't served. There is a bit of wear & tear in scuffed cabinets or chipped walls, or minor neglect like hanging planters with no plants in them and an untidy looking kitchen. We like that it's a privately run authentic experience at ta higher price point, but given the price a bit more attention to detail would improve the sense of value.

This review is for those with smell and sound sensitivities. We stayed for 1 of our 2 nights in room #3 Main Lodge King.
The smell of plug-in air purifiers, heavily scented towels and sheets, and the lingering smell of dinner pumping through the heating vent was noxious and never seemed to dissipate. The bed was uncomfortable, both of us rolling toward its center throughout the night. The well-water smelled like sulphur, which is not in their control, and they provided a machine with bottled water, but that somehow had a strange scent as well. Meanwhile, until past midnight, we could hear the people above walking and talking.
We had arrived around 8 pm, and Dennis, the proprietor, offered to cook us dinner. He told us he was chef. It was ok, but not worth $120 for the two of us.
The next morning, I went to the kitchen early so I could speak to Dennis before the other guests came down for breakfast. I told him that we were planning to check out that morning. Instead of asking why, he reminded me that his is the highest rated BnB in the area and that we would still have to pay the night we wouldn’t be staying there ($313).
I thought it was important that he be aware of the issues, so I told him. He offered to move us to one of the cabins next to the house. A fair offer were it not for the intense smell of the air purifiers and sheets.
Many may not be bothered by this, and the views are exceptional, but for those who might be, I leave this review for you.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The amenities were great. The room was spic and span. It boasts wonderful views of the Rockies and is within minutes of Hinton AB. Lastly, the property manager is a great chef serving up delicious made to order breakfasts and dinners and a wonderful host. Strongly Recommend!

Derrick is a great host. We stayed in the unit with private tub, more of those coming in the future. We will be back.
