Nothing fancy; does the job

The hotel is basically a motel and is kind of ragged around the edges, but the room itself was clean and comfortable, if a bit dated, with a nice bed. Includes a good breakfast in the adjacent restaurant. I don't think there's much in this town in terms of luxury accommodations, and we used it mainly as an overnight stop on the way back to the Halifax airport, but there's a charming main street with several restaurants with outdoor seating, and a pleasant community vibe. We did NOT go during the college school year, so I can't speak to anything we heard about rowdy students.

Great location

This is based on my night there. I am sure that for others it may be different.
The front desk service was good , very friendly. The room was actually nice but I had a room that was from the outside ( like motels) instead of from inside and if you wanted to go to the restaurant or front desk you had to put on boots and coat. I was not comfortable with this type of room.
Unfortunately you can hear the people in the rooms next to you . You park the car in front of your door and you will hear other cars when they arrive/leave.
The indoor rooms were closed.
The breakfast at the restaurant was good and you pick from the menu.
The location is great if you want to walk around the Main Street.
Restaurants close by as well.

Room had a damp smell, curtains had mold on the bottom, rusted shower rail, No shower fan, this does not help, with removing moisture from the room, Air conditioner was noisy,
On a more positive note , the Restaurant was excellent, staff helpfull and food was great.

Terrible

We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the rooms. We found a louse in the bed, hair and spider webs in corners of the room

2 star motel pretending to be 3 star inn.

It’s a like a cheap motel: furnishings are old, linens are cheap and old, towels are thin. Thin cheap rug by the door. AC / Heating unit is noisy. Shower head in a shower is so old that I laughed - it was ridiculous. On the positive side it Seemed clean and looks like minimum renovation was done. Stayed one night on our way from Cape Breton and left asap. Do not recommend for long stays.
