It is good location but some rooms need to be upgraded, king size beds. Need to remove bad odour in room. Staff very nice.

Staff were brilliant, very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. It’s about 15 minute walk to town, not the 5 mins we were told, so we took the car to town.

Pleasant stay, good service
Our party of three adults stayed at the Silver Dart for one night on our drive back to Halifax from Ingonish Beach, and it was a good stopover.
The Silver Dart is more like a large motel than a traditional hotel, spread out among several buildings with plenty of lawn and open space in between. We stayed on the ground floor of the East Lodge and had a nice view of the water. Be aware, though, that rooms on the other side of the building have little in the way of a view and, from what we could see, not even a particularly large window.
Our room had two double beds, a coffee maker and a fridge. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. There is an outdoor pool near the reception building that is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and we saw several families with young children enjoying it. There is also a restaurant in the main building, although we didn't eat there.
The town of Baddeck is just a short drive away and has plenty of restaurants to choose from. You could walk into town in about 15 minutes, but part of the route has no sidewalk, so we didn't feel comfortable making the walk after dark.
Overall, the Silver Dart was a perfectly good choice for our one-night stop in Baddeck. It's not a luxury hotel, but it was comfortable, conveniently located and had a pleasant setting. We would stay there again.

Wonderful weekend stay for our annual work gathering!!
Our work Team and families recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend stay at the Silver Dart Lodge in Baddeck, Nova Scotia. The Silver Dart Lodge Staff were truly kind and accommodating. The rooms, although a little dated, were clean and comfortable. The comfy beds made for restful nights. The meals were absolutely delicious; and the Restaurant Staff (servers and kitchen personnel) were attentive, pleasant, and very cautious and caring about food allergies and intolerances. The housekeeping and maintenance staff made sure that we had everything that we needed, in a very timely fashion as well. The location is perfect with an absolutely spectacular view!! It is a short and pleasant walk to restaurants, shops, grocery store, and drug store. The proximity to the golf course is ideal, as the drive is under 5 minutes. Having a swimming pool, a playground, and an open field on the property was a nice bonus, and served to enhance the experience. We were a group of almost 30 people, and everyone was genuinely happy with every interaction with Silver Dart Lodge Personnel. Debbie was very helpful with our booking, and the Front Desk Team were always at the ready to answer any questions that we had. It was a very positive experience, from planning to the end of our stay. We are genuinely grateful to the entire Silver Dart Team for ensuring that our weekend was one to remember . . . for all the right reasons!!

Beautiful view of the bras d’Or Lake from our deck & room. Comfy king bed & heated outdoor pool was awesome. Great location near downtown Baddeck & Cabot trail. Great time away & we”ll be back.
