Superb

Likes · Location was perfect, very central - also suitable for our further plans.
Staff were ok, we didnt have any problems
hotel stay worked perfectly for what we needed - no problem
Dislikes · Booking advertised that breakfast was included - thats what i paid for.
reception allegedly didnt get that note - we had to challenge and show booking confirmation. they then promised to pass the note to breakfast staff which they didnt. so i had to challenge again. we got there in the end but wasnt pleasant

We’re glad the location worked well for your plans and that your stay met your needs overall. We’re sorry for the confusion regarding the breakfast inclusion and understand how frustrating this must have been. We will review this to improve communication across the team. It was a pleasure to host you, and we hope to welcome you again.

Yhe valet parking is useful, property is in a good location for entertainment and dining.
The lounge on the main level has amazing old fashioned drinks. The M Lounge was a good retreat, snacks and drinks available there too, along with TVs to watch.

Quality downtown lodging

We stayed here one night before departing Canada. It’s an easy , central location downtown. Our rooms were comfortable. They provided two complimentary beverage coupons which we used in the lobby bar. The smoked old fashion preparation is impressive.

Worst experience ever. Too stressful. Locked out of my room after a long day

EDIT:
I am edit my review to thank Cameron for his customer service in attempt to turn things around. While I’m still not happy they attempted to charge my card with someone else’s room charges, and gave me a run around, he waived a night of valet parking for the inconvenience and provided us with one night of M lounge access as I was very upset. He also purchased us Starbucks that morning on our way out. He provided customer service and showed empathy during a very stressful situation.
The manager from the night before and the 2 staff members were RUDE and have no clue what customer service even means. I would still say don’t bother with this hotel. The valet parking is a rip off - my car sat parked outside all night when I needed it for our 4am flight yesterday as well when I told them I didn’t want that. $55 a night for someone to move my car 10ft from the front door to the street for 8 hours is absurd. I’ll be contacting air Canada vacations as well to stop recommending this hotel.
I am currently staying at this hotel. It’s lovely honestly, however I am in shock at how this hotel operates. I checked in under a flight + hotel package. They collected $30 per night incidentals on my card holding $120. I put a card with a lower limit down for this room. We’ve hardly been at this hotel because we’ve been out in Banff last few days. The valet parking is extremely expensive and not worth it in my opinion - however we have a rental car and I feel a bit better keeping it underground. On Thursday we asked for recommendations on what time would be best to pull the car up for Friday as we had to be in Banff for 9 - they told us 630am. Our car sat out all night long. What’s the point of valet parking if my car is sotting on the street all night long? The location of this hotel was enough to make me worry about the car all night. Not only that then we get back today from being in the car all day and we’re locked out of our room. I go down to the desk and they tell me my card is declined from attempting to charge multiple items on it. Including the valet that I was just complaining about - it should just come out of the incidental charges since I had a flight and hotel pre paid package. I worked in hotels for a long time. I got to the desk to try to get my keys fixed and they tell me I have pending charges at the restaurant as well that I’ve never even been too! We’ve been eating burgers and fries locally for the last 3 days we’ve been here. At this point I am fuming. So now I’m trying to get my keys fixed and they tell me I have to give them another $190 to get back into my room. At this point I am fed up. I’d rather sleep outside. How on earth do I need to authorize another $190. “It’s just a Hold” that’s not the point. You hold the money. You’ve already taken $147 which differs from the $120 from check in which also does not make sense if valet parking is $50 + tax per night. The numbers were not adding up for me.
