I did not know what to expect when I booked this Hotel. But upon my arrival I felt like I had done the right thing. The check in was so perfect. I was made to feel so welcome. The room was amazing with a stunning view. I loved walking around the area trying to decide what to eat. I had only passed through Castlegar once in the past, and this was my first overnight stay, but after being there I have already started making plans for my return, and the next time I will definately be staying longer.

Hotel common areas are very run down. The rooms are clean and tidy and much less run down than the common areas.
All parking around the hotel has signs limiting to 2 hour parking from 8am-6pm, unknown if this is enforced.

Old but cleaned!
We couldn’t start the heating system so it was cold.
The reception lady was lovely and easy access to the kitchen

It’s a case of you get what you pay for. It’s an older property and definitely showing its’ age. We loved the area and the downtown is trying to make a revival. The sculpture walk was fun and the museum was great. It was relatively clean, it had working AC, the shower/water pressure was good, the bed was fine and everything worked and we had a self serve continental breakfast. The property definitely has some quirks but we liked it. It has the potential to be a wonderful rejuvenated property. I hope it can get there!

The price was quite reasonable but the property was a bit rough especially on the outside and the common areas.
