Stay Here You Won't Be Disappointed

What a fabulous spot! The B & B is Victorian quaint. Our room (The California) was fantastic! It was clean and comfortable as well as spacious and immaculately furnished. The bathroom was also clean and the bed was inviting. Karen, the owner, is amazing. She cooked my wife and I breakfast in the morning. It was an omelette along with fruit, bacon, and toast. She even got up a half hour early to do it. We had to leave early as we had a long drive, so we really appreciate her extra effort. The coffee was pipin' hot and fresh. Moreover, you eat in this cozy little breakfast nook overlooking the yard. Thank you Karen. We'll be back!

Room not as booked

I booked a room with a balcony for one night, but when we arrived, we were placed in a basement room because the original room had apparently been double-booked. We were not informed in advance, which was very disappointing and frustrating.
The basement room was initially very cold, then became uncomfortably hot overnight, and there was noticeable noise from the water heater nearby. While the room appeared to have been cleaned, the fridge was unbelievably dirty, and the bed sheets had stains and some hair on them.
The host was responsive, the breakfast was good, and she refunded $30, which I appreciated. However, since it was the Victoria Day long weekend, finding another place to stay was not really an option.
Unfortunately, the unexpected room change, cleanliness issues, and overall experience put a damper on our trip. I would not stay here again.

Excellent Service, New Beds and Great Location, Top 99%

Karen was an amazing host. She made us a vegan breakfast and espresso that was simply amazing. The bed was brand new and the place had everything we needed for a short stay. The Location is great, only 20 mins walk to the Falls. We have stayed in many B&Bs and this one is simply in the top 99%. We will recommend this B&B to our friends and family. And we will be back soon.

Everything was Wonderful - Hostess, Room & Breakfast!!

Wonderful Experience. Very comfortable bed with nice and soft sheets etc. & the room has a large ensuite bathroom with shower. The A/C is a window unit which we didn't need (November visit) and there's a good size tv on the wall. Just outside the 3 upstairs rooms was a coffee/tea station and a fridge – also little treats (chocolates / gingerbread biscuits). Breakfast was terrific – excellent hot breakfast with perfectly scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, potatoes fruit and avocado. Juice, coffee, tea & lots of cereals & yoghurt on the sideboard. Very impressive. Karen is warm and friendly and obviously works very hard to make this a wonderful option for a stay – we are already planning a visit next summer. Parking in a broad driveway right beside the B&B was handy since it’s such an easy walk to the sites/Falls, so you save on the outrageous parking charges closer to the falls. We highly recommend a stay at Blue Gables!

Anniversary getaway

This is the first B&B we have stayed in as a couple. It is great to get a woman's perspective on a stay. This is a very quaint place to stay just 2 minutes from a bus stop and that is the easiest way to get around Niagra Falls. This B&B is clean, breakfast is homemade to your dietary needs, with fruit, coffee, tea, and meats as you wish. The owners are friendly and welcoming. We will stay here again if we come back to Niagra Falls Ontario. We definitely recommend you stay here.
