Great location near historic Gastown District in Vancouver, close to excellent coffee and restaurants, loved the nostalgic turn of the century property which is so well maintained great room with comfortable bed, easy in and out accessibility

The room itself was very clean and welcoming. The entrance was hard to find and the local area did not feel safe. Many homeless around. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location was perfect and within walking distance to many things. The staff are amazing and ready to help with any needs. The room was so comfortable and clean. Many nice restaurants nearby with nice patios. Would recommend 100%

We really enjoyed our stay overall. Compared to a standard chain hotel, the boutique feel and design made it much more interesting and visually pleasing, and the overall vibe of the place was great. Check-in was easy and communication with the hosts was excellent.
The bed was comfortable enough, and the space was generally pleasant, though there were a few things that could be improved. The room felt a little like it was designed by AI—beautiful to look at, but not always the most practical. There was no hand soap or obvious place to hang clothes, and the lack of hooks/storage was noticeable. Blackout curtains would also be a worthwhile addition for travellers who are sensitive to light.
We had a couple of minor maintenance issues as well: the fridge wasn't cooling properly (possibly because the freezer compartment was iced over), and the rain shower didn't work, although that may have been related to water pressure in the building.
Overall, though, we liked the hotel and would choose it over a generic chain hotel for the character and atmosphere. With a few practical improvements, it could be a really great stay.
