In perfect price-quality, it is a place that has the vibe of Salento, simplicity and beauty, it is not needed more to be able to tour the area, it sleeps comfortable and the rooms are very spacious. It is close to the square, and very friendly staff, plus a very rich homemade breakfast.

Great property in Salento
We stayed for 2 nights in this property in King Studio 45sqm with breakfast at 300,000.00 COP in cash (€ 70).
Our room was huge, with comfortable beds, no air conditioning (I don't think you need it), but with a tiny bathroom. Only negative note the hot water was very little and so I decided to avoid washing my hair!.
Breakfast is freshly prepared and is very good.
The accommodation offers its guests leggings and ponchos, useful for visiting the Chocora Valley!
The owner was the added value, extremely kind.
The connecting taxi to the airport of Armenia was arranged by Posada for 150000 COP in cash (€ 36 each way).
I would definitely recommend it!

To sleep in a cellar
We find it very difficult to understand these positive comments. The facade of the hotel is magnificent but the rooms are tiny and extremely noisy, there are not enough tables for breakfast, so you wait patiently for your turn. There are insects in the rooms and in the sheets. The staff is far from being smiling or pleasant apart from the young mixed race man who is helpful and he is the only one. In short, there are much better places in Salento and moreover there are 2 hotels which have the same name or almost, hence some confusion.

Fantastic place in a great location
I loved my stay in Casa Salento so much. I was travelling solo and it was the first place I stayed on my first visit to Colombia and set such a high standard. The room was clean and despite having trees right outside my room there were no insects in the room. Jhon manages the hotel remotely and offered the most friendly and helpful service for which I was so grateful. He organised airport pickup for me, put me in their quietest room per my request, asked for honest feedback on my room, checked in with me several times during my stay, fixed a small issue I had with the room very quickly, suggested plenty of things for me to do in and around Salento, and even contacted the coach company for me when I lost my bag on a coach from Salento to Medellin. I felt so well looked after by the team at the hotel too, who were all really friendly and patient with me despite my poor Spanish language skills. Breakfast was great too, with good proportions and options. The breakfast/ communal area is also a nice space to meet other people, which I did. They also prepare a packed breakfast for tours if you give them a heads up the day before, and you can borrow rain boots for free if needed, which was a life saver for the Cocora Valley tour. The bus station and the office for booking tours was also super close (less than 5 mins walk). Overall, I would highly recommend Casa Salento to anyone travelling solo or with another person.

Great place in Great location
I stayed here for 3 nights and the location is great. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The location is close to the main square for far enough to avoid all the noise. The staff did everything they could to make my stay in Salento as enjoyable as possible.
