Fantastic location right in the heart of old town. The staff were super helpful and we enjoyed dinner at the Makarun restaurant that evening. For the price I don’t think you can do better.

What a gem!

Top experience all round! We were picked up from the taxi by Toni on arrival in Split, made welcome with delicious snacks of lical produce and wine and enjoyed the A/C in our tastefully decorated room on an incredibly hot day. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, local Croatian delicacies and - with the hotel very centrally located, but hidden away in a small alley off the beaten track - the night was blissfully quiet. Highly recommended!

Are you travelling with children and want to experience Split? Makarun has top tier customer service, and this is coming from a regular business traveller of five star hotels around the globe. This is definitely a premium customer experience, where the staff and management go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and have a great experience visiting Split.
We had the junior suite, perfect for a family with children with ample space. The staff also made sure to meet us and walk us to the hotel, provided us with complimentary (!) local specialities and drinks upon arrival and showed us all the great sights. The staff at breakfast was also extremely attentive, making sure that the kids got food that they liked. This was the same on their dinner serving, which is not always guaranteed at an establishment that offers a fine dining experience.
In summary, if you want a premium experience in Split I cannot think of a better place to stay, surpassing what you expect from a five star resort.

A great way to spend relaxing days in Split.

I’ve had a lovely 5 day stay here, above the restaurant in a heavily touristy area but we are tucked away from the noise and crowds and central to lots of places. The room is spotless, comfortable and generously appointed. The staff are friendly, the food is fabulous and generous and I would certainly return here.
