Fine accommodation for visitor with car to visit Brno

Very spacious, clean room in a building with attractive old industrial style. Bit simple appearance, but that's the price too. Friendly staff at reception and breakfast. Please note that reception/check-in hours are limited. Good location to the center (10min. walk) and roads, with safe (closed at night) parking.

do not recommend

a roof leak caused my stuff to get soaked and there’s no air conditioning in the room. In addition to this, there is no body wash and only 1 mini 7mL shampoo sample is provided per guest. hotels are supposed to accommodate guests and obviously less than the bare minimum is being provided here.

At Heligonka-Brno

The hotel is located near Villa Tugendhat. It has been very tastefully renovated. Upon arrival, the corridor and the room smelled. The advantage of the room was the outdoor blinds. During our visit, the outside temperature was over 30 degrees. The room was pleasant with the blinds closed. Everything was perfectly cleaned, including the bathroom. Breakfast simple, but sufficient. Free closed parking in the building.

perfect stay in brno

nice clean room. breakfast was quite good. very close to the city center. however, there was no fridge inside the room. no microwave oven either or even an electric kettle. so if you go hungry in the middle of the night you don't have a choice a but to wait until breakfast. also there are no cafes nearby. wifi kept dropping and was really slow. over all a good place to stay. would recommend this place

Not the best, not the worst!

+ The room was big, and our bed was very comfortable, modern and clean. We slept well, which was the most important thing. The room was very lightful, as it had big windows, which we liked. Breakfast was good. It had all we needed: coffee, toast, omelette, juice. There was also soup for breakfast which was a funny detail.
+The staff was kind but unfortunately their level of English is not so good. The person in the reception was kind to show us around the building and parking.
+ parking was safe and easy. We could see our car from the window of our room, which was nice.
+ this hotel is close enough to go to the city/old town. We enjoyed the walk.. We didn’t need to use any public transportation or car.
- However, other furnitures (than the bed) were very outdated. Also the floor was very sticky! Like something sticky had been poured on it. We also found a piece of chocolate from the floor next to the bin.
- the area didn’t seem too safe. I would not come here with kids or as a solo traveller, especially if i would need to arrive during dark.
- Also, we only got one key, and as we were both busy on our own and the reception (and the gate) were mostly closed, it was some work to schedule our gate openings.
