Great theming!

We booked to stay for four nights in a pirate room which was very new, clean and lovely with great theming. Is it good value for money? Let’s be honest no, as it’s a lot of money for a room to sleep in - however we all know that booking a hotel in places like Legoland and Disney does cost a lot more than a premier inn and for the theme and distance to the parks you do get a nicer experience. Do I wish it was cheaper so we could book more nights? Of course. Would I book it again - no, but that’s only because I would want to try either the castle hotel or the village or maybe elsewhere nearby with a pool…! But saying that the kids would book again next week given the choice!
The bed was comfy and the room had all we needed with a kettle and coffees ect and a hair dryer and shower gel and shampoo. It was very clean and new and the kids loved the Lego gift on arrival. Thank you.
We did have a small issue which was not down to the hotel or the room (noisy smoking people outside when they shouldn’t be) and I mentioned it to staff who were very apologetic and said they would look into it and then very kindly she changed our room, which was totally unexpected but was very lovely and appreciated for our last two nights. So I am able to review both the pirate room (a cheaper option) and a park view room (more expensive)
The theming in both is great but I feel that little kids would love a pirate or friends room tbh! The brick room was more grown up but did have all the fun of Lego with the amazing view of the Legoland park. It also had a tv in the toilet….unsure why! In the pirate room we had a bath with a shower over. In the park view it was a shower and a small side shower/mini bath bit.
If I asked the kids and they said they would book pirate or similar again, the view however was very special and magical and we felt very very lucky to be able to experience it and seeing the rides and miniland from the top of the hotel was rather cool!
The staff are super lovely - everyone, I mean they were always so kind and friendly and cheerful. It was appreciated.
The hotel reception has a shop and some food items if you needed a snack. There are lots of areas to play as expected!
The breakfasts - wow super yummy with lots on offer - more continental style - yogurts, fruits, cereals, pastries, breads (no toaster) hams and cheese, very tasty salmon as well as some hot options of porridge, pancakes, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, eggs and tomato. Lots of sauces and jams as well as tea coffee and juice options. The rhubarb juice was a very nice find for me!
The main breakfast area is sometimes a little busy and staff suggested we try the pirate restaurant - much quieter and same food on offer. I loved the mugs in here! Nice to drink my morning tea out of!
Credit to the staff in pirate restaurant they move quietly around keeping everything topped up and clean, it was the calmest most enjoyable breakfast buffet experience I have had tbh!
There was also a gluten and dairy free section which was well stocked.
We did have breakfast at the main restaurant on the last morning and exactly the same food as they said but it was busier which made it feel a bit more chaotic bug again staff always keeping it clean and organised.
Also big FYI for anyone from the UK the sugar puffs here are actually sweet and nice - unlike the new ones we have on sale now. If you know, you know haha
Over all an amazing stay and we are super sad to be home now. Thank you to all the amazing staff who were just lovely and for a great stays

Disgusting unsanitary gotel

Our 2nd night at the Legoland hotel. Costs $750 AUD a night without park entry included. The park itself is fun for a seven year old and worth a visit. The hotel should be condemned and is 1 star at best. Staff are unhelpful and depressing - there is no cheer here. Food and drinks are incredibly bad and expensive. The rooms have so many issues and the hallways smell like urine - I’m sure this is a very unsanitary hotel. I have walked past leftover room service that has been there since we first arrived just festering in the hallway for the 2nd day. I honestly don’t know how this hotel has any positive reviews it is disgusting - the only perk is the location. If it wasn’t so unsanitary it would actually be humorous. The rooms are hot but you can’t open the windows as there are no screens and plenty of bugs. Sheets feel dirty. I have been to front reception to try and address the issues - in particular the foul smell but they are disinterested at best and down right rude. I would stay at the billund airport next time - appears clean - has air con and is extremely close to the park which I did not realise. This is a definite no go!! I wish I had read the negative reviews first as they are incredibly accurate. Very expensive and disappointing experience. It’s a shame as Copenhagen was wonderful.

Great parks, room dirty, unfriendly hotel staff that seems not to care to much.

We visited the Legoland Hotel in Juli as a family of 3 (one child) and we had booked the Ninjago full experience. While the hotel itself looks very nice for children there are a number of things where I would expected to have received a better customer experience.
1. Our room had the full Ninjago thema, but overall it was old. Dents in corners, cabbort doors that didnt open well and it was not clean.
2. A dummy from a previous child was folden up in our bed sheets, like the sheets were not changed at all.
3. The remote of the TV contained all sorts of dirt.
4. The shower has a curtain and the rails was lose from the ceiling. When reported they asked us if they should repair it - what a strange question. You should not repair if for me, but for future guests. Or even better, replace the curtain for a normal shower what you would expect in a modern hotel.
5. I was being ignored at the bar of the hotel when I wanted to order two cups of coffee, the bar man were busy making cocktails and it looks like they where not trained well. Cocktail by cocktail, following a recipe book. Crushing mints by hand, slapping on their wrist, not very hygenic. None the less, have waited with several other people while two man where busy, no hello, no message like "i'll be with you soon', nothing, simple being ignored. At the end I bought two ice coffees at the reception desk. When I complained at the reception, you could clearly see they didnt care.
6. Breakfast feels weird, in the nice area you hear 2 days in a row, yeah its very busy hear you might want to take the other room. The options for breakfast are okay, but not great. Scrambled eggs look like soup, the boiled eggs were good. The bread was okay. We just didnt get good vibes from the room and how its was displayed.
7. No airco - it was extremely had when we visited and in the hotel and rooms there is no airco at all. Even no fresh airflow, felt very damp.
8. By checking out, the counter didnt ask if our stay was good or not. It was simple thank you. No goodbye, hope to see you next time, nothing.
By all of these, spending 1300 EURs for just 2 nights (breakfast, legoland and legohouse visit) this feels like an enormous rip off. Next visit we will rent a hotel for the night somewhere else.
The complain I have most is customer focus, people see you first, be friendly, a simple hello how are you is fine. Like they do in the parks. Take notice on this, it will help you to increase your customer experience.
Legoland and the Lego House were great, very friendly staff.

Dream hotel for every child who loves LEGO!!!

LEGOLAND Hotel in Denmark is truly a dream come true for children who love LEGO in every possible way. There is LEGO everywhere!
Our room even had a box of LEGO bricks for the kids to play with, which was a wonderful surprise. In the restaurant, once the children finished eating, they could head straight to an amazing play area filled with tons of LEGO, making dining enjoyable for the whole family.
The hotel itself is incredible. From the giant LEGO tree in the reception area to the countless LEGO sculptures throughout the hotel—many of them life-sized or even bigger than the children—it feels like you’ve stepped into a magical world.
The best part is that you can walk directly from the hotel into LEGOLAND Park. From the moment you arrive, you feel like you’re in another world full of fun, imagination, and adventure.
We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to every family with LEGO fans. We can’t wait to come back!

Not worth the effort or money

Our experience with the LEGOLAND Hotel was mixed. Positive: friendly staff, fine breakfast, and a clean room. Points for improvement: poor condition of the play areas, poor prior customer journey, lack of clarity regarding time slot reservations for the buffet, no air conditioning in the heat, and poor parking policy.
Both the hotel and the park appear dated and poorly maintained in several places. Many of the Nintendo Switch consoles (at the reception and in the play area downstairs) do not work, and the iconic yet impressive mini-LEGOLAND exhibition was covered in cobwebs. In the park, many LEGO ornaments are discolored, and attractions such as the Polar Experience on the outside are clearly in need of a refurbishment or at least a fresh coat of paint.
The early entry benefit for hotel guests amounts to very little in practice: you still have to wait behind a barrier until 09:55, after which most attractions do not open until 10:00 anyway.
Particularly disappointing is the parking policy at the Legoland Hotel (which they have outsourced): we received a fine of 1030 DKK because our car was parked about 20 cm over the line due to a car next to us that was parked over the line. There was no parking space next to us, so we didn't obstruct anyone. A German family parked opposite us received the same fine for the same reason. This felt more like making a profit off tourists than reasonable enforcement.
In short: our children (under 8 years old) had a fantastic time, and that is ultimately what you do it for. But at these prices, you also expect better maintenance and a fair parking policy. My advice: go to Efteling for a weekend for a more challenging range of attractions and good value for money. If you go to Legoland, don't skip LEGO House and WOW Park.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that your children had a fantastic time and that you enjoyed our staff, breakfast and the cleanliness of the room.
We’re sorry that other parts of your stay did not live up to your expectations. We appreciate your comments regarding maintenance and the overall experience and will take them into consideration.
Regarding the parking fine, this is handled by an external parking company and is therefore not something we can comment on.
Kind regards,
Mathilde, LEGOLAND
