Connie, one of the owners, was warm and welcoming. She even served us a special venison dinner from a local hunter. It was so tender and tasty. Beautiful setting looking over green pastures and grazing horses. Wonderful.

Top class hospitality

15 girlfriends gathered for a birthday celebration in this unique place. Everything gets top marks: preparation, follow-up and execution by committed, welcoming and smiling host couples and staff.

Don't cheat yourself out of this experience.

Fantastic cozy and unpretentious place.
Beautiful location, large breakfast buffet and exclusively tasty dishes in abundant quantities. Attentive and friendly staff.
Definitely worth a visit, we would love to come
again!

Danish Comfort & Hospitality at Its Best

My 16-year-old son and I just finished two weeks traveling across Denmark, and while we stayed in luxury properties in bigger cities, this was our favorite hotel. The owners went out of their way to accommodate us, and everything was lovely -- the room, the food, and especially the service. Nestled in the countryside and a couple of kilometers off a stunning beach, its location is perfect. Nearby inns offer additional dining alternatives, but we were completely satisfied with Hojgaarden's offerings. If you are looking for an authentically Danish "hygge" experience, this is the place to go.

Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food

This is the most welcome I've ever felt at a hotel. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming. There is always complementary coffee, tea, water, fruits, nuts and snacks available, and beverages are trust-based self served. The location is quiet, the beds are soft, the dinner delicious and the breakfast divine. We cycled here from Hirtshals and will definitely return next time we're in Nordjylland.
