Very satisfied customers

We arrived at the foldsens hotel 31.03 to 05.04 2025
We are 77 and 82 years old
There began the good service we got brought our suitcases up to our room 101 first floor
We have lived in many places in our long lives, but never received such fantastic service.
The staff was incredibly kind and helpful.
The food was a chapter in itself.
It was incredibly tasty and varied. It's been a long time since we've tasted such delicious food.
This applies to the morning buffet.
We highly recommend the Foldsen hotel to everyone we meet.
Thank you for a good holiday.

This hotel has a great location right across from the train station and on the pedestrian street. There were many restaurants and shops within walking distance of the hotel. Location was the main perk; the hotel is old and the rooms were not well maintained (peeling furniture, dingy). We weren't prepared that nightlife outside the hotel was loud, lively, and drunken on a Saturday night until about 2am (with stragglers yelling in the streets until 4am). Spent a sleepless night here, and it is not much for the cost (but all Skagen is very expensive).

Ok place that needs a loving hand.

We stayed at the B&B as the hotel also has.
The room was ok for the price, but there was a large refrigerator outside our room, which belongs to the flower store next door, it was FAVORABLE.. and sounded wildly day and night, it just didn't.
The windows were also drained and red, so when you opened them, old paint fell into the bed.
The bed slept well.
Breakfast was fine, but you should think of the pancakes are hard as stone, maybe you just should spend a little on baking them yourself, and not buy the cheap from spar :-)
Staff was nice.
And the cleaning was also fine.

Good service and food – sound level drops

Overall we had a great stay at Foldens Hotel. We were greeted by friendly and professional service upon arrival, and it gave a good start to the visit.
We stayed in an Economy Double Room which – although it was very small – worked fine. It was clean and nice and we didn't miss anything.
Our package included a 3-course dinner. The food was really good – a delicious tuna mousse for prey, a perfectly cooked beef morrow for the main dish and a delicious ice dessert. However, we had to wait 40 minutes for the precious, and the table behind us was served before us, although they came later. Fortunately, the waiter was aware and regretted the mistake. The breakfast buffet the next morning was also really nice with a good selection.
The biggest minus during the stay was the noise level. Our room was on the 2nd floor – directly above Visevärtshuset – and there was live music played until at least 1am at night. The music could be heard very clearly in the room, and it went beyond our night sleep. The rooms are also generally very listening, so we imagine that those on the 1st floor have had it even worse.
Overall a nice hotel with good food and good service – but the sound insulation and the location close to noisy surroundings unfortunately draw the overall impression a little down.

Price and room quality are not related

Price and quality of rooms do not hang together. We lived in number 10 and 28 and especially 28 was old and worn and smelled bad. The place is well located in fht city and service and breakfast good, but all in all too expensive to the standard also compared to many other hotel nights in my life

Very good location
